August highlights 🤍

Very happy to report I did have a life outside of work this month 😂.

There was lots of spring wardrobe edits + shopping with clients, some really fun nights with friends, Luna Park where I severely underestimated how intense some of the rides would be, my first bathhouse experience, and then finishing the month with such a special moment being featured in Marie Claire Australia.

I’m trying to get better at making more space for life outside of work, so looking back at this month and seeing a few more fun things in the mix made me very happy 🤍🤍

I was recently interviewed by Noni Reginato for the September issue of Marie Claire Australia about midlife style, confidence and that feeling so many women have of not quite feeling like themselves anymore.

It was such an interesting conversation because it’s something I see all the time in my work. A lot of the women I work with have spent years looking after everyone else, building careers, raising families and moving through different stages of life, and somewhere along the way they’ve stopped putting the same time and attention into themselves.

One of the biggest things I hear is, “I just don’t feel like myself anymore.”

I don’t think clothes change who you are as a person, but I do think they can have such a big impact on how you feel about yourself. When what you’re wearing feels like you again, fits your life now and reflects the person you’ve become, there’s something really powerful about that.

It was very surreal seeing my words in print when I picked up the magazine, and definitely a very special little career moment for me. 🤍

Thank you Noni for including me in such an important conversation.

Losing your sense of style, or feeling like your wardrobe no longer reflects how you want to look and feel, is something I hear from women on a daily basis.

What we don’t always give ourselves permission to recognise is just how much we change.

New job roles, motherhood, body changes, different lifestyles, changing priorities and the curveballs life throws at us can all shift who we are and what we need from our clothes.

And while that growth can be a beautiful thing, sometimes our wardrobe simply hasn’t caught up.

It’s completely normal for your style to evolve. But wearing clothes every day that you don’t love, don’t feel good in or that no longer work for your life can leave you feeling stuck and disconnected from yourself.

Imagine rediscovering your style and putting together outfits that feel so much like you that you wonder why you didn’t do it sooner.

I wanted to share some insight into how I help my clients update their style through life changes, so you can start thinking about where your wardrobe is now and where you want it to be.

For me, updating your style starts with reflection and planning.

Before buying anything new, you need to understand what has changed, what you love now, how you want to feel, what suits your lifestyle, body shape and what you actually need.

That’s how you avoid buying more random pieces and start building a wardrobe of outfits that make sense together.

If you’re ready to make your wardrobe more of a priority and would like some guidance with your own style changes, comment STYLE and I’ll send you my calendar to book a complimentary online style chat.

One of the biggest misconceptions about what I do is that I only style corporate wardrobes.

And I understand why. A lot of my clients are women and men in corporate and professional roles.

But I’m not interested in creating a wardrobe that only works from Monday to Friday.

Because your life doesn’t stop when you leave the office.

You might need to dress for client meetings, casual office days, dinners, weekends, holidays, events, working from home and everything else in between.

And I don’t believe you need a completely separate wardrobe for every part of your life either.

The best wardrobes have crossover.

The blazer you wear to a meeting can work with jeans on the weekend. The blouse you wear to work can take you to dinner. The pieces you buy should work together in multiple combinations, rather than being bought for one outfit or one occasion.

That’s why when I work with a client, we look at their whole life.

What they do. Where they go. How they want to feel. What they already own. What’s missing. And how everything can work together.

The result is more outfit options, less decision fatigue, better cost per wear and a wardrobe that genuinely supports your everyday life.

If you’re ready to stop piecing your wardrobe together and want a plan for the whole thing, comment WARDROBE and I’ll be in touch about a complimentary online call.

July was basically one long birthday celebration, with a little reset in between.

Instead of going away this year, I took a week off styling clients, caught up with friends and family, booked a few massages, started Pilates and gave myself some proper time to recharge.

Here’s a little look behind the scenes. What was your July highlight? 🤍

FAQ: How much should I budget for my wardrobe overhaul?

For clients going through my Complete Wardrobe System, I generally recommend setting aside:

• Autumn/Winter: $10,000–$20,000
• Spring/Summer: $8,000–$15,000

This budget includes clothing, shoes and accessories.

It’s important to know that I don’t typically shop luxury designer brands as part of these budgets. Most of my clients’ wardrobes are built from mid-tier or high-tier or a mix of both and contemporary brands that offer excellent quality, fit and longevity.

Mid-tier brands might include Cue, Saba, Witchery, Country Road & Veronica Maine just to name a few.

High-tier brands might include Aje, Scanlan Theodore, Camilla & Marc, Perri Cutten, Zimmermann & Reiss to name a few.

If you’d like to incorporate luxury designer pieces such as handbags, belts, shoes or jewellery, I absolutely can, however I would recommend allocating an additional budget for these items just in case as a single designer accessory can significantly impact your overall spend.

This process isn’t about buying more random clothing that doesn’t last. It’s about buying the right clothing that you will get your cost per wear out of.

I always encourage clients to be as flexible as they’re comfortably able to with their budget. Having more flexibility means we’re able to prioritise quality, fit and functionality rather than compromising because we’ve hit a spending limit.

We’re building a wardrobe that works as a complete ecosystem, where every piece earns its place and gets worn again and again.

What does your wardrobe say about you as a leader?

As leaders, our careers evolve over time.

We take on more responsibility, step into bigger roles, lead larger teams and grow in confidence.

But our wardrobes don’t always evolve with us.

Sometimes we continue dressing the way we did years ago because it’s familiar and safe.

Sometimes we buy clothes we wish we felt confident wearing, only to leave them hanging in the wardrobe.

And sometimes we hide behind our clothes because, deep down, we’re uncomfortable being seen.

Other times, our wardrobe works perfectly well, but it no longer reflects who we’ve become.

None of these are right or wrong.

They’re simply different stages of becoming more comfortable being seen.

The goal isn’t to become louder or wear clothes that don’t feel like you.

It’s to build a wardrobe that feels authentic, supports your leadership presence and reflects the person you’ve become.

Because when your wardrobe aligns with who you are, getting dressed becomes easier, showing up feels more natural, and you can focus on leading with confidence instead of second-guessing what you’re wearing.

Has your wardrobe evolved as your career has?

I’d love to know which archetype you related to most. Let me know in the comments below. 👇 1, 2, 3 or 4

June was a month of behind-the-scenes moments.

Styling clients, sourcing beautiful pieces, wedding vendor meetings, my first custom wedding dress fitting, and a few moments to catch up with friends. It was also a reminder that some of the most meaningful parts of business never make it onto Instagram.

Here’s a little snapshot of what I’ve been up to lately. 🤍

PART 4 | The Outfit Styling Session

This is the final part of my Complete Wardrobe System, and it’s where everything comes together.

After we’ve edited the wardrobe and shopped for the missing pieces, we style complete outfits using both the new pieces and everything my client already owns.

I then photograph every clothing item, shoe, bag and accessory so I can digitise their wardrobe and create a personalised digital Style Guide, giving my clients daily looks they can refer back to whenever they need them.

It’s perfect for busy, time-poor professionals who want to look and feel their best every day, without spending unnecessary time thinking about what to wear.

Whether they’re getting dressed for work meetings, casual work days, weekends or dressy outings, they already know what works.

No second guessing, no decision fatigue, and no wasting time trying on five different outfits before leaving the house.

It’s one of the parts of the process my clients tell me they value most because it makes getting dressed so much easier.

A heartfelt thank you to my amazing client Lauren for opening up your wardrobe, your journey, and allowing me to film parts of the process. Thank you for trusting me and for helping others see what’s possible. I couldn’t have shared this series without you. 🤍

Part 3 of my Complete Wardrobe System 🤍
Accessories Shopping Session.

A little BTS as I help my client Lauren complete her wardrobe with the finishing touches. Thank you, Lauren, for kindly allowing me to share parts of your styling journey.

One thing I hear from clients all the time is that they struggle to accessorise their outfits.

More often than not, they’re missing a few key foundation pieces: white leather sneakers, loafers/flats, a neutral heel, ankle boots, a versatile everyday bag, classic belts and simple jewellery that can be worn on repeat.

That’s why I dedicate an entire styling session to accessories. These pieces work across multiple outfits, tie the wardrobe together and make getting dressed so much easier.

Stay tuned for part 4… 💫
