符合資格的人口範圍
雖然延長工作假期簽證帶來的機會前景廣闊，但重要的是要考慮能夠真正從這一安排中受益的香港年輕人的人口結構。資格標準將範圍縮小到1991年7月1日至1997年底出生的人士。這個六年年齡段主要是因為1997年以後出生的香港公民不能獲得BNO護照資格。我們應該注意BNO簽證和BNO護照之間的區別。

進一步的審查顯示，最大受益點落在1991 年7 月1 日至1997 年底之間出生的人士在2024 年7 月1 日該計劃正式接受申請時年齡將在26 歲至33 歲之間。在此範圍之前出生的人士因年齡限制將無法申請到第二及三簽的417打工度假簽證。

SC485 TEMPORARY GRADUATE VISA STAY PERIOD AND WORK HOUR EXTENSIONS

VISA EXTENSION
If your SC485 is expired or about to expire before 1 July 2023, you may be eligible to apply for a further two-year stay by SC408 (COVID-19 Pandemic Event) Visa. You must study and graduate from the areas in the ‘eligible qualification list‘ and be working in Australia or have an offer of employment. The two-year extension is in addition to the Second Post-Study Work stream in regional areas.

WORK HOUR
The Government has also announced that the working hour cap will be increased from 40 to 48 hours per fortnight for international students who study in the areas in the ‘eligible qualification list‘, from 1 July 2023.

THE REPLACEMENT OF EXHAUSTIVE 485 TEMPORARY GRADUATE VISA CAUSED BY COVID-19 DISRUPTION

Sky News understands a cohort of visa-holders whose visas have expired will be able to reapply for them. Government sources have confirmed up to 31,000 people have had their 485 visas expire or begin to expire, but they will be able to replace them.

EXCITING NEWS TO PERSONS SUBJECT TO S48 IN AUSTRALIA!

The persons in Australia under section 48 will be able to apply for certain Skilled Visas soon, including:

-Subclass 190: Skilled—Nominated (Permanent);
-Subclass 491: Skilled Work Regional (Provisional);
-Subclass 494: Skilled Employer Sponsored Regional (Provisional)

香港人一直期待的485/482/457簽證轉永居途徑,今天終於公佈了。詳情如下:

現時持有以上簽證而且是持香港特區護照或BNO護照者均可經以下途徑申請永居。

189簽證:
-申請人無須要通過技術評估或最低Competent英文水平,也無須要有工作或最低收入証明已可藉此簽證直達永居。
-唯一要求: 持以上任何簽證期間必須在澳洲任何地方居住了四年。

191簽證:
-申請人無須要通過技術評估或最低Competent英文水平,也無須要工作或最低收入証明已可藉此簽證直達永居。
-唯一要求: 持以上任何簽證期間必須在澳洲區域(偏遠)地方居住了三年。

注意:同行申請子女沒有年齡限制,有別於現時其他簽證申請人的子女如達23歲則不被列入家人範圍。而且若未能通過身體檢查亦有途徑申請豁免。

正式開始申請日期: 2022年三月五日
