We came, we folded… a triangular accordion 🪗📖

The class repurposed ♻️ my Reuben’s calendar from 1993 — originally picked up after a visit to the Australian National Gallery — and gave it a new life as art books.

Over three decades later, the calendar folds again. ✨

An artists’ book exhibition — opening night!

Wed 12 August | 5–7pm

Thrilled to be exhibiting alongside such a talented lineup — including my collaboration ‘Palimpsest Scroll’ with Bridie Amelia Schmidt . Come say hi, have some snacks and see where the page can go.

See you there! 🎉

First monotype ever 🖨️ — term 3 first day back at Byron School of Art with Darren Bryant, pulling the same drawing again and again to see what the ink would do. Looks like Chalky charcoal — no two prints alike.

I painted ‘Llami’ today on the last day of painting for Term 2, Foundation Year at Byron School Of Art 💖

Llami — Emi’s first toy, from her birth mum, Millie, and those early weeks raising her and her siblings.

Three years on… we don’t dare wash it, as the fabric holds all of those memories. It’s been mended a few times along the way.

Big thanks to Michelle Dawson and James Guppy for the guidance this term — new skills, and a new way of seeing the world through painting 🎨

A memento mori 50x50cm painting from a blurred reference, a study on the beauty and impermanence of life.
Thanks Michelle Dawson for another inspiring class Byron School Of Art
