When things donโ€™t go our way, the mind looks for a story that protects us.

The generation gap is shrinking, and with it comes a new wave of talent bringing fresh perspectives. Instead of complaining, leaders should embrace reverse mentoring. The younger generation, born into technology, offers new ways of thinking that drive innovation. Letโ€™s learn from them and open ourselves to new ideas beyond our own experiences.

The narrative around hybrid work needs to evolve. During the pandemic, trust allowed us to work from home effectively. Now, itโ€™s not about ๐˜ช๐˜ง people come back, but ๐˜ธ๐˜ฉ๐˜บ. Human interaction and collaboration are paramount. While technology facilitates connection, it canโ€™t replace the deeper bonds formed through in-person engagement. These connections foster growth and showcase individual contributions.

Leaders must create a compelling โ€œneedโ€ for people to return to the office, emphasising the social environment and holistic personal growth that in-person interaction provides. This isnโ€™t just about work delivery; itโ€™s about fostering a thriving, social human experience.

The biggest challenge for leaders today is the accelerating rate of change. To cope, we must slow down and reflect. Self-awareness is crucial to understand our strengths and gaps. We canโ€™t be invincible individuals; instead, we must leverage others and systems to fill those gaps, becoming a solid, collaborative team.
