On Saturday, I had the privilege of speaking at the inaugural She Is Empowered Brunch

One of my long-term goals when launching Inspired Consulting was to become a speaker. Not for the stage or the microphone, but to create spaces where people feel safe enough to reconnect with themselves, reclaim their voice and remember who they truly are.

What I didn't expect was to achieve that goal within my first year.

This experience reminded me that life can move much faster than we think when we stay aligned with who we genuinely are.

When we stop trying to become who everyone else needs us to be and start honouring our authentic selves, something shifts.

The right people arrive.
The right rooms open.
The right opportunities appear.

To anyone sitting on a dream that feels far away right now, keep showing up. Keep trusting yourself.

🏈 Throwback to where Inspired Consulting first began… and no, it wasn’t business strategy, lead generation or conversion systems.

It actually started as a personal styling, wardrobe restyling and personal shopping business.

After Funk Ink dissolving during the devastating one-punch lockout law era in Sydney... which completely disrupted the entertainment industry we knew and loved... I came back from overseas feeling lost...

I had no idea what was next for me.

But one thing I did know?
I loved style.
I loved shopping.
And apparently… I was very good at spending other people’s money too. 😂

People always complimented my style, so I thought… why not get certified?

I invested heavily into studying styling and launched Inspired Consulting through the NSW self-employment support program at the time.

And honestly? Looking back now, it was never really about fashion.

It was the beginning of me trying to understand myself.

Back then, I was constantly doing the most ... jumping between ideas, projects, industries, identities. A jack of all trades, master of none.

Not because I lacked capability…
But because I truly didn’t know who I was yet.

And that’s why what I do today feels so aligned.

Because now, more than anything, I inspire people to reconnect with themselves.

To reclaim their power. To build lives and businesses that actually align with who they are at their core.

And honestly?
That may be one of the greatest gifts we can give ourselves and the collective around us.

A perfect Saturday celebrating two incredible Brown Boss Babes doing what they do best... showing up with glamour, purpose and powerful representation.

Watching .australia and Beauty By Rosh showcase their creations was more than just fashion and beauty. It was storytelling, culture, resilience and impact woven into every detail.

Amilani’s designs are uniquely glamorous, intricately laced with heritage and purpose. From Colombo Fashion Week to the international stage, her work continues to champion not only luxury fashion but advocacy for women affected by violence through meaningful partnerships and empowerment initiatives. Truly visionary.

continues to create an inclusive space within the beauty industry. Cruelty-free, vegan, ethical, sustainable and deeply intentional in representation and accessibility.

What made the day even more special was being able to share these powerful examples of creativity and courage with our children.

Representation matters. Visibility matters. Watching women of Sri Lankan heritage build globally recognised brands with purpose is incredibly inspiring.

Here’s to women building beautifully, boldly and with impact.

As I sit here sipping my turmeric milk in the stillness… baby asleep beside me, lights off, quiet house… I can’t help but reflect on how different life used to feel.

This week in the Plus 8 Accelerator Program, powered by feedback on my pitch brought me back to my WHY.

Yes, I started Inspired Consulting because I genuinely wanted to support the often-unsung heroes of business ... small and solo founders navigating growth, pressure and uncertainty.

But somewhere along the way, that purpose evolved into something even deeper.

Freedom.

Not just financial freedom.
Not just business growth.

But the freedom to be an intentional, present and a consistent mother.

That’s the real driver behind everything I’m building now.

So tonight, I’ll ask you the same question I asked myself:
What is the WHY fueling your day-to-day decisions?

There were moments recently where everything felt so heavy… like I was drowning in the depth of it all.

But life has a beautiful way of reminding you that nothing stays dark forever.

Choosing peace changed everything for me.

Letting go. Trusting God.... Trusting the process even when I couldn’t see the outcome.

And somehow… everything aligned.

Everything started falling into place in ways I never could have imagined, especially from where my mind was just days ago.

So if you are in a season that feels overwhelming right now, please remember this: 🌞
The sun will shine again.
God has not forgotten you.
Keep going. Keep trusting.

Activated mode

If you know me personally, you will know my brain is constantly wired to business ... improvements, efficiencies, opportunities, systems, sustainability and yes… making money.

But for me, business has never just been about increasing revenue. It’s about how we sustain income, strengthen relationships and create stability during uncertain economic times.

Too many businesses are operating from reaction and fear right now. Cutting corners. Passing pressure onto clients. Adding surcharge after surcharge.

But long-term growth isn’t built through panic.

It is built through strategy, loyalty, adaptability, and understanding how to move through challenging seasons without losing the trust of your customers.

This season is teaching businesses the difference between surviving reactively… and scaling intentionally.

Still revelling in the magic of Black Excellence I experienced on an inspiring night of Legacy and Leadership in Australia powered by .

What struck me most was the authentic celebration of Indigenous strength, heritage and ambition.

The energy in the room was electric. A pure blend of pride and determination. Belief in impact that truly transcends borders.

The stories shared, across generations... were embedded in every speech and every award acceptance.

The contrast between interns and alumni was especially powerful: a living reminder of what’s possible when talent is nurtured, supported and sustained.

George Brown, as MC, captured it perfectly:
“Leadership doesn’t have to live in Corporate Australia.” And his words “I stand on the shoulders of giants” echoed deeply throughout the night.

Founder Adam Davids reinforced an important truth — partnerships and sponsorships fuel the growth and development of CareerTrackers. Impact like this doesn’t happen in isolation.

Intern speaker Isaac Gebadi shared something that stayed with me:
"How many aunties and uncles carried a spark, but never had the environment to sustain it. Education remains one of the most powerful pathways for change — when passion is identified and genuinely nurtured."

And Jade George’s speech was unforgettable. Sharing her grandfather’s words to her grandmother:
“Jane, for this to work you need to hold your head high when you walk into a room. Look people in the eyes when you speak. No one is better than you. And you belong here.”

Can you imagine just how important it is for every Indigenous person to hear that and to believe it?

This is legacy.

This is leadership.

And this is why spaces like this matter.
