Today is Mabo Day. 🧡

On this day in 1992, the High Court delivered a landmark decision that recognised Eddie Koiki Mabo's lifelong fight for justice, and affirming the land rights of First Nations peoples and changing Australia forever.

We believe in fairness, community, and belonging for everyone. Acknowledging the truth of this country's history is part of living those values, not just saying them.

We honour Eddie Koiki Mabo, his family, and all First Nations communities today and every day.

What a weekend! 🏮✨ The Allied Security team was on the ground at the City Council Australia's Lantern and Lights event, and what an event it was!

From start to finish, our crew worked hard to make sure everyone could enjoy the magic safely. Seeing the community come together like this is exactly why we love what we do.

Proud of our team and grateful to be a trusted part of events like this.

Lauren, our First Nations Engagement Officer at Allied, attended the National Sorry Day and National Reconciliation Week Assembly at Sydney Boys High School with Assariah, who is part of our broader community engagement work.

Assariah shared his story of growing up as a Bwgcolman and Erub man on Palm Island, off the coast of Townsville QLD. He spoke about his culture, community, and his journey to Sydney while chasing his NRL dream.

Thank you to the students and staff for creating space for meaningful conversations, learning and reflection during National Reconciliation Week. 🖤💛❤️

Allied remains committed to building strong, respectful connections with community and supporting opportunities for stories like these to be shared.

Our team and clients came together with Bush to Bowl for a bush walk and native plant tour in honour of National Sorry Day. 🌿

It was a meaningful opportunity to slow down, connect with Country, and learn more about the knowledge, culture, and traditions that have been cared for by First Nations communities for generations.

As we continue learning and reflecting, we recognise that reconciliation begins with listening, understanding, and taking meaningful steps forward together. We’re grateful to Bush to Bowl for creating such a thoughtful and educational experience for our team and clients.

We’re taking time to reflect on the role we play in building a more inclusive and equitable future, and the responsibility that comes with it.

Reconciliation isn’t a single moment for us. It’s ongoing, and it’s embedded in how we work, grow, and show up every day.

We know that real progress takes more than intention. It takes action, accountability, and a willingness to keep listening and learning.

This week is a time to reflect, but more importantly, to keep moving forward together.

Today, on National Sorry Day, we acknowledge the Stolen Generations and the lasting impact of the forced removal of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children from their families, communities and culture.

We honour the strength and resilience of survivors, their families, and First Nations communities.

All In for us means listening, learning, and acting, all with respect, humility and an ongoing commitment to Reconciliation.

Our teams are on the road every day, working to keep people, places and infrastructure safe.

This National Road Safety Week, we’re recognising the everyday actions that keep our people moving, and protected.

Getting the job done safely is just as important as getting it done. We encourage all road users to stay alert, slow down near work vehicles and be mindful of the people working to keep our roads safe.

What an incredible day at the Kari Foundation Aboriginal Education & Employment Expo! 🙌🧡

The Allied Indigenous crew had an amazing time connecting with young people and fellow organisations working hard to create real opportunities for mob.

Our team absolutely smashed it with the Allied Traffic booth — showcasing what we do and our open roles for Traffic Controllers. We're a little biased, but it was EASILY the best booth there 😄🚦

So many great conversations, so much energy in the room.

Interested in a career in Traffic Control? Hit us up! 💪

A blocked drain becomes a flood. A failing HVAC unit becomes an unplanned shutdown. An unserviced fire system becomes a compliance breach and a serious safety issue.

Here's a simple framework:

→ Audit annually. Review every asset. Document condition, age, and service history.
→ Categorise by risk. What fails first? What costs most to replace? What creates liability?
→ Schedule interventions before failure, not after. Build a rolling 3-year maintenance calendar.

Facilities that run on reactive maintenance don't just cost more, they erode trust with occupants, expose organisations to compliance risk, and quietly destroy asset value.
