The Edge: Short - Sharp - Smart

The Edge: Short - Sharp - Smart Short. Sharp. Smart. The Edge is a talk series that will live up to its name. Everything has an edge. The bleeding edge of technology. The edge of reason.

The edge of society, where conformity ends and creativity begins. City Bible Forum invites you to take a look over the edge. To understand where our current thinking is taking us. To see what’s happening now, what’s coming next, and what you can do about it. One hour, once a month, ideas that will set your teeth on edge. Two critical thinkers will take you on precise, TED-style 15-minute tours of

a key social trend that’s transforming our world – then brace themselves for your questions. Edge of your seat presentations. Opportunities to think for a change. Welcome to The Edge. Like TedEx, two expert speakers will address today’s topics in a short, but content-rich style. But we want to do more. After the talks, our moderator will allow you to interview the speakers and take them to the edge of the topic.

“City Bible Forum holds to a set of core beliefs which can be read here. Beyond this, we acknowledge a diversity of views and opinions and seek to engage people in thoughtful, respectful, insightful conversation. Where comments are considered highly controversial, polarising, disrespectful or offensive, we reserve the right to remove such comments from our sites.”

RETHINKING WORKPLACE RELATIONS

Diversity and inclusion. Equal opportunity. Work health and safety laws. So many initiatives and yet you still feel unsafe with the threat of racism, sexism and bullying in the workplace. How did it get like this? Surely there must be a better way to engage at work. What if you could come to work feeling inspired, supported and valued instead of anxious, harassed or isolated?

Through two short and sharp talks plus a panel discussion, The Edge speakers will share key insights on some of the current relational challenges faced in the workplace. They will help you consider how you can contribute in simple ways to transform your work relationships.

Short. Sharp. Smart. We are taking today's work relations to The Edge.
