Weekly Wrap: Rewarding Your Team

Should you have a structured bonus scheme in your business? What are the pros and cons? Should it be for all staff or just a few?

This was the topic of discussion at my group client meeting this week and also with a couple of other business groups that I am part of. This might be a longer than normal video but it's worth watching if you are thinking about introducing a bonus/reward program into your business.

We know that many business owners are suffering from lockdown fatigue so we are running a short planning workshop this Friday.

Businesses may (or then again may not) get a reprieve because of the impact of the current lockdown, but the ATO is planning to start reporting business tax debts to credit reporting bureaus.

Make sure you stay on top of your tax obligations or enter into a payment arrangement with the ATO.

Businesses who meet certain criteria may have their tax debt information reported to credit reporting bureaus (CRBs).

COVID GRANT ELIGIBILITY CALCULATOR

There has been a lot of confusion about how to work out whether your turnover has dropped by 30% so that you are eligible for the COVID Business Grant or JobSaver.

Here is a spreadsheet tool that you can download to help with this calculation. Just click on the link to download the tool and watch the video for a full explanation on how to use it.
