Bodhi Aldridge Mentoring Supporting Male Business Owners and Leaders to reconnect with their True Self, uncover their True Purpose and experience True Freedom.

I am a business mentor specialising in working with men, particularly young men, in the workplace. Whilst I have extensive experience in coaching, consulting and creating sustainable change in business from leadership and throughout an organisation as a whole, I believe that change, in the way that men show up in the workplace is where I can deliver the most value. As a lawyer and business owner,

I have extensive experience in commercial matters, in building business and supporting people to get product to market. Having also committed extensively to my own personal development, I've supported many clients to create sustainable cultural change personally and in their careers and management.

Often when I work with clients and they start to realise that the fundamental trigger in their life is, 'I'm not good enough because I'm not loveable and valuable', they start to see the impact this has on them, not just in their personal lives, but in their businesses.

If you think about it, as a business owner running a leadership team, when you get triggered or impacted by the 'Not Good Enough', so do your team and your customers.

And remember, the 'Not Good Enough' is because somewhere in this moment, I don't feel valued. I don't feel loved. It's not true. It's just an old subconscious pattern.

When you get triggered as a leader, you'll go into your defensive patterns, whatever they may be. That can either be the aggressor... we've all worked with leaders who essentially are like the schoolyard bully. Or you might become more passive aggressive.

All of this is affecting the team dynamic, the emotional dynamic, and it also affects the ability to get things done, to deliver customer service.

If you want to increase your profitability, increase your efficiency, and improve your culture then really take responsibility for the 'Not Good Enough'. And that's what I do when I work with clients. When we see it, we can change it.

From the UK woodlands to sunny Ibiza... then Paris for the weekend!

What a trip so far! It's been so wonderful spending time in nature with the guys... and just beautiful seeing the rise of the divine feminine and the divine masculine in leadership.

Spending time with my UK, Ibiza and French families is so much fun. Thank you all for hosting and supporting me and for all the love.

This week I've been back in the UK... still working!

Forget about balance. It might be important at times but you have to live your life the way you want to.

Life is constantly changing. The demands of life are constantly changing. Achieving and holding onto this elusive 'balance' is impossible.

But we can achieve flow in life. We can flow from one demand to another, from one action to another... from one joy to another.

And I don't mean flow states for performance. I mean living a life of flow - living a life of Presence-in-action. Presence-in-action.

When we can do this, there is less resistance to life. Everything is welcome. Life flows.. and it is full of joy, abundance and passion!

When I work with clients, I take them from frantic to centred.

I help them cultivate the ability to centre themselves, to calm themselves and get grounded.

From the place of frantic, we're normally not as effective as we could be. From the place of centred, we can have a totally different experience of the task in front of us, of the meeting we're in, of the communication that we're making.

The three key accelerators to move from frantic to centred are CONNECTION, ACTIVATION and ALIGNMENT.

Connection is connecting with the self; connecting and grounding yourself, getting present.

The other key is to activate the essential centres in the body that allow for Presence. And this is important, because all of this comes from the inside out.

And then the other key is alignment. It's aligning the key parts of your system.

When you're ALIGNED, when you ACTIVATE and when you CONNECT, you can move from frantic to centred.

You will be more effective. You will be calmer and you will be a much more empowered leader....

I was recently working with a client who came to me based on two pressure points that he was experiencing. And the main one was, he was in his late thirties, with a very successful job, three children and a lovely family.

And he said, "I was going to bed the other night and I had a panic attack. Because I asked myself the question, is this it?"

At 39, he had achieved all he wanted to achieve. He was doing very well in the tech industry. And he realized that there was so much more to life....

Working with lots of men, there is a point in our journey when this question comes up.

And it's interesting because the essential driver for the masculine is freedom. And a lot of men think if this isn't it, it's something outside of me.

And so that spark and that question, 'Is this it?', can actually be the catalyst for a deeper self enquiry. Who am I? Where am I? Where do I want to go? And instead of trying to find the answers externally... buying another thing, going on another trip, whatever that story may be, it's often a catalyst for men to go on an internal exploration.

This is the point of contemplation and reflection. And what they realise is that, yes, this is it. And there's so much more!

What we believe we experience. This isn't woo woo... it's neuroscience.

We give meaning to each and every moment of our experience through a variety of lenses or filters. One of these filters is our Beliefs.

Our beliefs are mostly formed in childhood, taking shape through our interactions, influences and experiences.

As we get older, our brains sub-consciously gather evidence to support and further entrench these beliefs.

From a neuroscience perspective, the Reticular Activating System (RAS) plays a key role in this process. The RAS is the Gatekeeper to the mind, filtering the huge influx of sensory information we come across each day.

Through a process known as ‘Confirmation Bias’, our Gatekeeper gives attention to stimuli that supports our beliefs while ignoring stimuli that doesn’t. It doesn’t even let the information in!

In this way, what we believe we experience.

When clients really connect with this profound understanding; that we are sub-conscious, meaning making machines; it changes everything.

The reality is, we have a choice.

When we slow down and become more Present, we can begin to see our beliefs and the meaning we give to situations and interactions.

If these beliefs no longer serve us, they can actually be changed.

The key to communication is the communication and relationship you have with yourself.

Making whole this communion with self is key. That’s the foundation for this work.

What sort of communication are we having/could we have with ourselves?

The fundamental piece to the way we communicate and relate to ourselves is the self-talk.

80,000 thoughts a day and most of them are negative. If you’re running that self-talk, the 'Not Good Enough'… of course that’s going to impact any external relationships.

Communication through self-talk is crucial. We need to change that conversation, change that relationship first and foremost.

What are the conversations you've been having with yourself today?

Presence is essentially the ability to get connected with yourself – how you're receiving and perceiving the world.

Because our thinking mind is in overload and in our culture, and so heavily valued, we’re often only perceiving through our thinking mind.

The thing about tuning in is when you get present and embody presence, you start to realise you can perceive the world through more than just your thinking mind.

You can perceive the world through your emotions, your intuition, through your energetic field.. and this is how you start to understand and become more aware of what’s going on for me? What’s this information giving me? How am I communicating with myself? How am I relating with myself?

Wisdom through Embodied Presence....

We've learned so much of who we are through relationship.

Relationship with ourself, relationship with our caregivers, relationship with the institutions that we've been in and out of. Through all of these relationships, we have created some limiting beliefs. We've created some habits, some places where we're stuck, places where we hide.

If we want to experience true freedom, it's about unwinding a lot of the things we've learned...

And one of the most powerful ways to unwind is again, through relationship!

One of the key distinctions is we begin the work with the relationship we have with ourselves. As we get more established in the work, our committed relationships become our masterclass.

In my experience, if life is a school, committed relationship is the university.

The fastest way to unwind, to unravel your triggers, your limiting beliefs, the places where you hide... is through committed relationship - with your beloved and with your children.
