🗣Maddy & Co are getting ready for “National Day of Connection”

✔️This years motto is “Together we can Cure Loneliness” which aligns with our mission and core values.

🫶 17 June 2026, schools, communities and workplaces across the country will join forces with people just like you to host simple activities and raise money💰 to bring people together.

🤝National Day of Connection🤲 is an annual event inviting everyone across Australia 🇦🇺 to take small, meaningful steps to build connections. 🤝

🤲Whether it’s a chat 💬 with your neighbour, a smile 😊 at a stranger, a coffee ☕️ with a friend or an event to bring people together, every connection, large and small will help create thriving communities all around Australia. And all the money raised will support meaningful connections throughout the year.

Maddy & Co “Canning Cancer - Let’s Bottle Brains for a CURE”

👋Hi there beautiful people!

Recycling Campaign and Fundraiser” ♻️

We are undertaking a fundraiser to raise upto $5000 to help the Brain Cancer and Brain tumour Community.

🗣Can young imagine at 10’c a bottle or can….. How many we have to collect?!? And we have ALREADY started!

👋Hi - My name is Samantha Halmoukos. I myself have under gone x4 Brain Surgeries and believe we have an opportunity to raise awareness regarding Brain Tumours 🧠 and Recycling ♻️ to make our environment and land a better place to preserve, live and thrive. A better home for our waterways, animals 🦅 , fauna 🌳 and flora 🌸 . A better place for our children and the generations to come.

‼️Have we thought? What are we leaving the children in the future?

🤝I myself currently assist alongside Alan Suy (Maddy Suy’s Dad) at Maddy & Co.

❤️We have a “DreamTeam” with a strong emphasis on what issues and topics are important to our local community, partners and members and identify ways we can assist people moving forward.

🙏Whether is Professionally and Personally we are here for all.

🌲 Climate Change and Recycling is definitely a topic that pops up regularly from kids in the community to adults in the workplace.

🙏We truely believe that Businesses - whether your Commercial or Charity can make a massive difference alongside the Community.

🗣On Thursday 4th June 2026, Haberfield Public School will proudly celebrate “Superhero Day”. Students are invited to wear a superhero costume, a cape, or simply the colour yellow to show their support.

A gold coin donation would be greatly appreciated to help raise awareness and much-needed funds for DIPG research.

🦋 Maddy Suy, lovingly known as “Mighty Maddy,” was a former student of Haberfield Public School who sadly passed away in May 2024 after her brave battle with DIPG. 🌈

💎In her honour, the school created “Superhero Day” to celebrate her inspiring film, Maddy’s Mission to the Future, which portrayed Maddy as a superhero courageously fighting DIPG while holding onto hope for a cure.

💪However, according to
he word superhero has an even deeper meaning….. Much deeper……..

Every child shows courage, strength, kindness, and resilience when facing life’s challenges — whether those challenges are big or small, visible or invisible.

🦸‍♀️You do not need a cape to be a superhero!.

💪Every student has the power to make a difference through compassion, bravery and compassion supporting others.

We are a charity dedicated to raising awareness and vital funds for childhood brain cancer, created in memory of our beautiful daughter, Alegra.
