Meaning, your customer is conditioned before they enter your store.

Often that conditioning is to avoid, or dismiss sales people.

One way to overcome that conditioning is to disarm it. How? By making sure your customer feels relaxed in your store.

The initial goal is to relax your customer (disarm), perhaps with a compliment or a piece of valuable information, not to overwhelm or insist on a conversation.

The conversation will be more meaningful when you disarm them first.

2. Look for buying cues that indicate they want to buy

3. Look for objects in to keep the conversation moving forward

4. Make an offer that is irresistible to them

5. Repeat the process so you get scale and consistency
