PIAA do more than organise events and Grooming Competitions
Who is representing your business?
Most groomers are busy running salons, managing staff, caring for pets, and serving clients. It’s understandable that many don’t have the time to keep up with government consultations, training reforms, award reviews, industry legislation, workforce planning, immigration pathways, animal welfare regulations, or compliance requirements.
But these things still happen.
Every year, decisions are made that affect how we train future groomers, employ staff, operate our businesses, manage compliance, and grow our industry.
When government and regulators seek industry feedback, they consult stakeholders. If our industry doesn’t participate, others will speak on our behalf. That may include large corporations, training providers, welfare organisations, or groups whose priorities may not reflect the day-to-day realities of independent grooming businesses.
This is where industry associations matter.
PIAA works to ensure the voices of pet grooming professionals are heard when decisions are being made that affect our future. Whether it’s advocating on training, qualifications, workforce shortages, animal welfare, awards, or business regulation, having a strong membership base gives our industry a stronger voice.
Membership isn’t just about receiving benefits.
It’s about supporting the people who are sitting at the table, having the conversations, attending the meetings, responding to consultations, and advocating for the future of our profession.
The stronger our membership, the stronger our voice.
If you’re already a member, thank you for supporting your industry.
If you’re not, we’d love to have you join us.
Together, we can help shape the future of professional pet grooming in Australia.
Take a look at the membership prospectus in the link below.
It’s tax deductible and there are membership benefits as well.
