Person-Centred Care in Action – Lego Therapy

At the heart of aged care is listening to what matters most to each person. That means exploring creativity, keeping their hands active, and enjoying moments of connection.

Our recent Lego Therapy session was designed with this in mind. Each resident was encouraged to build at their own pace, follow their interests, and share stories as they created. The results were as unique as the individuals themselves—bright, colourful builds filled with meaning, laughter, and conversation.

This is what person-centred care looks like: recognising strengths, nurturing joy, and making space for activities that reflect personal choice and individuality.
