Thai Trade Sydney Trade with Thailand starts at the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), Ministry of Co

The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) was established under the Ministry of Commerce, Royal Thai Government, to assist in building the competitiveness of Thai manufacturers and exporters to fulfill their potentials. The organization has officially changed its logo and name from the Department of Export Promotion (DEP) to the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) on January 4, 2012. With more challenges and opportunities within the new world economy, the DITP aims to provide fast, reliable and efficient services. Overseas Thai Trade Centers (TTC), under the supervision of the DITP, are located in major cities around the world to implement policies and activities, with special focus on fostering trade relations between Thai exporters and potential importers. In addition, the offices also analyze relevant information and give reports on emerging trends and developments.

The Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP), in collaboration with The Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (Public Organization) (GIT), has announced the successful conclusion of the 74th Bangkok Gems and Jewelry Fair, held from 8โ€“12 September 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center (QSNCC). The five-day event welcomed more than 50,000 buyers and visitors from 123 countries and generated over THB 5.8 billion or 174 million USD in trade value, reflecting strong international confidence in the potential of Thailandโ€™s gems and jewelry industry and reaffirming Bangkok Gems as a key international trading platform for the global industry.

The five most sought-after product categories were gemstones, machinery and equipment, fine jewelry, silver jewelry and diamonds, respectively. Gemstones remained the standout category, accounting for 35% of total trade value generated at the fair. This strong performance highlights Thailandโ€™s competitive strength as a global colored gemstone trading hub and Bangkok Gemsโ€™ role in connecting producers and traders with buyers from around the world.

74th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair Set to Showcase Thailandโ€™s Heritage,
Innovation and Global Jewelry Excellence

The 74th Bangkok Gems & Jewelry Fair, organized by the Department of International Trade Promotion (DITP) in collaboration with the Gem and Jewelry Institute of Thailand (GIT), is set to take place from 8โ€“12 September 2026 at the Queen Sirikit National Convention Center
(QSNCC), Bangkok. Building on more than four decades of success, the fair will bring together more than 1,300 exhibitors from over 20 countries across a 53,000-square-meter exhibition space, creating a major marketplace where international buyers can discover Thailandโ€™s renowned craftsmanship, gemstone expertise, design capabilities, and value-added production.

A key highlight of this edition is The Designer Zone, reflecting Thailandโ€™s commitment to
supporting creative Thai entrepreneurs. The zone will spotlight Thai designers and
manufacturers whose work combines traditional craftsmanship with contemporary creativity,
highlighting Thailandโ€™s capabilities not only in manufacturing, but also in original design and
value creation for the global jewelry market. The zone will also feature THE ONES TO WATCH
Exhibition, where visitors can meet a curated selection of promising Thai gems and jewelry
brands poised to make their mark on the global stageโ€”emerging names to watch for the future.

The fair will also present โ€œThe Craft of Brilliance,โ€ a special exhibition tracing the evolution of
Thailandโ€™s jewelry craftsmanshipโ€”from generations of knowledge and artisanal skills passed
down and continually refined, to contemporary creations that demonstrate excellence in design and craftsmanship.

Beyond the exhibition area, the 74th Bangkok Gems will offer a diverse program designed to
create business, knowledge, and networking opportunities, connecting Thai entrepreneurs with international buyers and industry leaders while encouraging knowledge exchange and long-term partnerships.

With its combination of heritage craftsmanship, gemstone expertise, quality manufacturing,
