We've scheduled our Future Fit Leaders programs in North Queensland for 2026. The Sydney and Brisbane dates for 2026 will be coming soon.

The training days include - psychosocial safety for leaders, stress resilience, courageous conversations, deep listening at work, multi generational leadership and emotional agility.

Where I work is a jungle - literally. The James Cook University Campus in Townsville is beautiful.

Last week and this, I'll do ten workshops with year one med and dentistry students on self-compassion on our Health Professional's Self-Care program in Townsville and Cairns.

Take the MSCEIT2 emotional intelligence assessment with us - 30 minute time investment, tailored leadership report and one to one leadership coaching.

After nearly 20 years using the old MSCEIT online assessment, I'm excited to be offering the new, updated MSCEIT2 assessment.

MSCEIT one has been the best, evidenced based, emotional intelligence assessment for many years and I think the new assessment brings a new richness and brilliant new ways of developing leadership and team capabilities.

Thank you to everyone at the Centre for Compassionate Leadership for the compassionate leadership training program.

The 8 -week program was the best training program was brilliant. The program provided a language for compassion in business that wasn't fuzzy or woo-woo but practical, applicable, engaging, and value-added.

I'll use many of the ideas from the program at James Cook University, ready for the 2025 med students on our health professionals's self-care program.

And incorporate ideas into our one way communication workshop in Townsville on Jan 24th :)

Marty's top wellbeing tips for 2025:

• Get lots of rest: Marty advocates about 16 hours of snoozes a day, but you should aim for seven or eight with a micro snooze just after lunch.
• Find the exercise that is a good fit for you—for Marty and me, it's swimming. Being intrinsically motivated to do a particular form of exercise makes it much more likely that you will stick to new healthy choices.
• Explore mindfulness, whatever that means to you - whether it's closing your eyes and feeling your butt on the ground here like Marty or just taking a self-compassion time out.
• Hang out with your friends at the beach.
• Spend time in nature - this is Marty loving the jacaranda blossom a few months back.

Have a very happy and successful 2025 from everyone at Breathe London and Breathe Australia.

Our next open one-day workshop for individuals is our day long leadership communication program on Friday 24th January in Townsville.

And in the UK we have some exciting plans for our Waterloo wellbeing centre.

Faced with lots of change at work, screen distractions, supporting teammates and juggling competing priorities from home and work, many of us feel burned out and low on energy and hurtle from one task to the next.

That's why many of our leadership programs have focused on the lost art of deep listening over the last few months.

And that's why I've decided to run a series of leadership communication workshops around Australia.

The first one is on 18 October in Townsville. We're restricting participant numbers to 12 people. If you are a leader or emerging leader, get in touch or register your interest. Spend a day exploring how to develop your communication skills and share ideas with other leaders on how to listen and communicate effectively.
