The Italian Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Australia – Sydney (ICCIAUS) Annual General Meeting 2026, held on the 12th of May in the offices of WeBuild, marked an important moment of institutional reflection, continuity, and forward-looking renewal for our Chamber and its growing business community.
The Annual Assembly aimed to review the activities and achievements of 2025, a year that confirmed the Chamber’s central role in strengthening the economic, commercial, and cultural ties between Italy and Australia, while expanding its outreach, and impact across multiple sectors.
We were honoured to be joined by key institutional representatives, and we extend our sincere gratitude to the Italian Ambassador H.E. Nicola Lener, who with his message opened the assembly remotely and reaffirmed the strong institutional partnership between the Embassy and ICCIAUS, as well as to Italian Consul General Gianluca Rubagotti for his continued support and presence alongside the Chamber.
During the AGM, the President Fabio Grassia, the treasurer Rose Megale and the Secretary General Roberto Tagliaferri presented the 2025 Annual Report, highlighting a year characterised by strong operational delivery and strategic consolidation; subsequently a key institutional milestone of the assembly was the approval of the Chamber’s new Constitution, reflecting our commitment to modern governance, transparency, and alignment with the Italian Ministry and Assocamere Estero.
In accordance with the new approved constitutional framework, elections for the Board of Directors will be held between September/October 2026 (date to be confirmed), marking an important step in the next phase of institutional renewal and continuity.
The current Board continues to guide the Chamber with dedication and strategic vision, ensuring stability while supporting the ongoing development of ICCIAUS initiatives and partnerships across Australia and Italy.
We would also like to express our sincere appreciation to all Members, Sponsors, and Partners whose continued trust and engagement remain fundamental to the Chamber’s success, as well as to the entire ICCIAUS team for their past and present commitment and professionalism.
As we move forward, ICCIAUS remains firmly committed to strengthening its role as a dynamic platform for business, trade, and institutional collaboration, further enhancing opportunities for our Members and reinforcing the bridge between Australia and Italy.
With renewed momentum and a strong sense of purpose, we look ahead with confidence to the next chapter of growth, engagement, and shared success.
