This was the perfect way to celebrate Reconciliation Week! 🖤💛❤️ I believe it is so important to introduce Aboriginal Perspectives at an early age. Our First Nations Peoples souls are deeply connected to this beautiful country we call home. We need to support their individual VOICES and be open to Listen and Learn….💞

Early Childhood and Family Service 🥰

One of the Practices of the Early Years Learning Framework focuses on Intentional teaching. To me this means planning activities with purpose that try to include all children, developmental stages, different learning styles and interests, then combining them with individual interactions and group discussions. It is like a big mixing pot of experiences, learning and gathering knowledge.

In this photo we see a link between our current learning theme of the beach, to our Book of the Week, a child’s interest in sea creatures and whales and the the sensory aspect which is so stimulating for the younger children.

Happy NAIDOC week everyone! ❤️💛🖤
Let’s come together to honour and pay our respects to our First Nations peoples past, present and emerging.

The 2021 theme of is so important for our shared home and the environment. 🩹🌏
As custodians of this land we need to listen, learn and follow their lead to protect our beautiful, unique natural spaces and animals 🌿🐨. Their deep love and connection to Country should be our guiding light….💖

The theme this year is Heal Country. Country is more than a place. Country is family, kin, law, lore, ceremony, traditions, and language.

Healing Country means embracing First Nation’s cultural knowledge and understanding of Country as part of Australia's national heritage.

The right to protect Country and culture is fundamental.

Destruction and desecration of our sacred lands or ancient sites - some of the oldest human occupation sites on the planet – is an enormous loss for both our nation and the world.
