EARLY CHILDHOOD TEACHER REQUIRED
Rainbow Playhouse Preschool in Tahmoor is looking for an Early Childhood Teacher to fill a maternity position for terms 1 & 2 in 2026 with the possibility of extension!
Days of employment are Monday 9-4pm, Wednesday 9-3pm and Friday 9-3pm, with the possibility of more hours and flexibility to change times to suit. It must be these 3 days to ensure all our children have access to an ECT. New graduates or those close to completing their degree are encouraged to apply.
About us;
• We operate during school terms from 8:15am (children arrive 8:30am) to 4:00pm
• We are a community based, not-for-profit preschool run by a Management Committee made up of parents and community members.
• We have been servicing our community for 35 years!
• We cater to 20 children a day with one big play room and a recently renovated, beautiful outdoor area that is very nature based.
• We have a small team of part-time educators (our longest has been with us 20 years!) and provide continuity of care by helping each other out when you need time off.

What the role entails;
• Contribute to the development of our program which should reflect the children’s interests and the Early Years Learning Framework.
• Complete learning cycles and reviews of children’s learning
• Engage in team meetings and reflections
• A good understanding of the National Quality Framework and NSW Regulations
• Guide play-based learning based on strengths, interests and differing abilities
• Participate in excursions throughout our community
• Implement our program and philosophy
• Develop respectful, positive and collaborative relationships with our educators, children and families.
