It is with sadness that we share the news of the passing of Sharon Maloney, who passed away Monday, 21st July following a car accident.

Sharon has been the manager of West Tamworth Newsagency for over 20 years. Sharon was a very loved, well-respected and integral member of our family and the greater community. Her infectious laughter, wise and often humorous words, punchlines, guidance and support, love of her career, family and team is something we will miss.

Sharon was just as passionate about her horses and competed in numerous events. Having won a trove of prizes over the years.

She was a fierce advocate for newsagents, especially in regional areas, having been involved in numerous committees.

While we don’t quite have the words to express the grief of our sudden loss, we ask that you keep Sharon's family in your thoughts as we stand by them through this difficult time.

We are looking for an energetic and enthusiastic person with good communication skills to join our team. Must be reliable and able to work on a casual basis.

Key Responsibilities include;
· Excellent customer service and relationship skills
· Completing newsagency processes
· Maintaining stock control
· Visual Merchandising
· General cleaning duties
· Cash handling and balancing
· General administration duties
· Manual Handling

To be successful in this role you must posses the following;
· Ability to work well independently
· Must be organised with great attention to detail.
· Must be self motivated and show initiative in their work
· Point of Sale knowledge would be an advantage
· Previous Lotto sales knowledge would be an advantage
· Previous retail experience would be an advantage

Availability & Hours;
· Hours will depend on competence level
· Must be available to work early mornings
· Must be available to work Sunday mornings
