The final weekday Northern Daily Leader will be on sale and delivered this Friday. The Saturday Leader will become the Weekend Leader and be the only printed Leader from this Saturday.
The final Narrabri Courier & Gunnedah Times will be on Sale and Delivered tomorrow.

The final edition of Horse Deals is now on sale.

It is certainly the end of an era for all these publications, but we will still be here offering deliveries to our Loyal Tamworth Community.

When I was travelling along the highway I was stuck behind a delivery van. As I drove past it, I realised it was my delivery van for West Tamworth Newsagency. I only just acquired the business, so didn’t recognise the number plate. I was imagining people ringing up the Newsagency asking where their newspaper was and my staff would be replying it is “coming” so I thought this would be a great number plate to have.

A Celebration of Life for the late Sharon Lee Maloney will be held on the 5th August 2025 2pm at the Tamworth Jockey Club.

It is with sadness that we share the news of the passing of Sharon Maloney, who passed away Monday, 21st July following a car accident.

Sharon has been the manager of West Tamworth Newsagency for over 20 years. Sharon was a very loved, well-respected and integral member of our family and the greater community. Her infectious laughter, wise and often humorous words, punchlines, guidance and support, love of her career, family and team is something we will miss.

Sharon was just as passionate about her horses and competed in numerous events. Having won a trove of prizes over the years.

She was a fierce advocate for newsagents, especially in regional areas, having been involved in numerous committees.

While we don’t quite have the words to express the grief of our sudden loss, we ask that you keep Sharon's family in your thoughts as we stand by them through this difficult time.
