Pruning…the most important action taken in the vineyard each year, preparing the vines for the upcoming vintage and the years in advance. It’s often cold, wet, dark and moody, but it is a craft required to produce good fruit. Our 120 year old bush vine Grenache had their haircut this week…now for Mother Nature to be kind during spring!

Today, we’re proud to release something we’ve been working on behind the scenes — a wine that tells the story of one vineyard, one block and one exceptional vintage.

From Block 5 of our Stonewell Vineyard, this Shiraz showcases the concentration, structure and depth of this remarkable site. Planted on classic red friable clay over ironstone on the western side of the Barossa Valley, our Stonewell vineyard has been part of Turkey Flat for more than 25 years.

The early reviews are in:

⭐ 95 POINTS — QWine

Campbell Mattinson describes it as “monumental”, with “genuine swagger”, while QWine calls it “an excellent debut that firmly plants its flag.”

With just 2,667 bottles produced, this is an exceptionally limited release.
