The 2024 limited release Shiraz celebrates more than a decade of Shiraz for us!

The label is nostalgic. We recreated the 2014 brush of the earth design based on the actual cut along Stonewell road.

Some of our recent guests commented that the design was similar to the Chinese character symbolising humanity. We love this. A beautiful reminder of the deep connection w**e has to people and place. 🍷

The 2024 Shiraz, a once off special release. 150 magnums of a beautiful vintage. Our big regret, we should have made more 😭This one is Stone Well at its best. It’s rich, silky and generous. Drinking beautifully now or will cellar for a few more years.

The 2025 Shiraz | Cinsault co-ferment
The best of both worlds and a w**e that won’t happen again!
Most years our Cinsault ripens in April, but in 2025 it was ready by March, allowing us to co-ferment these two varieties. Made with 100% whole bunches, foot stomped, no oak, then hand-picked, hand-bottled and hand-labelled. 80 magnums 🙌🏾🍇

Our Inner Circle has already snapped up a big portion, and we’ve now opened the remaining bottles to everyone.

When they’re gone, they’re gone. Don’t wait. 🍷

I was recently invited to speak at the SANFL Country Championships opening event.

I read a quote from the legendary Madiba, on how sport has the power to create change, break down barriers and unite people like few things can.

We see a similar connection in w**e.When guests come to our w**ery, it’s starts a conversation. We share stories over a glass of w**e. It’s a place, that resonates in the glass. When you leave, you’re taking a piece of that place and our story, with you. 🍷

I shared the story of my sons travelling with a footy in their suitcase to South Africa in 2024. They invited some local kids to play a game on my mother’s street. That same street I grew up playing sport barefoot. Kids from different continents connecting over that red footy.

Whether it’s through sport or w**e, the moments we remember are the human connections 🍷🏉

We harvested our first Shiraz for The Cutting in 2014 🍇 To mark more than a decade of Stone Well Shiraz, we’ve bottled once off magnums. 130 bottles and it won’t be repeated. 🍷

Last week, I delivered a keynote at GHD Adelaide on Women in Engineering to a room full of engineers and technical experts.

W**emaking and engineering have more in common than you’d think, from designing vine architecture to carry fruit and capture light, to building a more sustainable future in a warming climate.

Both industries also face the same challenge: retaining women, with a noticeable drop in female participation around the mid-30s.

I shared my story of growing up in South Africa, where opportunities for people who looked like me only came after apartheid ended in 1994.

The work GHD is doing to support women in technical fields is the kind that actually moves the needle, it's not just talk.

Speak up, and leave the door open behind you 🙌🏾
