One year ago today, our community faced one of the toughest moments in recent memory.
The 2025 floods changed lives, impacted homes, businesses, and families across the Mid Coast.
But in the middle of the mud, heartbreak, and uncertainty… something incredible happened.
People showed up.
Neighbours helped neighbours. Businesses helped businesses. Volunteers arrived with shovels, food, cleaning gear, and simply a shoulder to lean on. We saw kindness in its purest form — the kind that reminds you what a small town community is truly made of.
A year later, many people and businesses are still feeling the effects. Recovery didn’t end when the water disappeared. For some, it’s been a long road of rebuilding, financially and emotionally.
Today is a reminder not only of what we went through, but of how important it is to continue supporting the little local businesses that keep our towns alive.
Every coffee bought locally, every small purchase, every recommendation, every kind word — it all matters more than people realise.
Behind every small business is a family, staff members, bills, stress, and someone doing their absolute best to keep the lights on for the community they love.
So today, we remember the floods.
We remember the resilience.
And we remember that community spirit is something worth protecting long after the headlines fade.
Thank you to everyone who helped us, helped others, and continues to support local. ❤️
