🎄That’s a wrap for 2025! 🎄

We’re getting ready to sign off for a well-earned Christmas break and will be closed from 5 December until 13 January 2026.

A huge thank you to our local business community this year and to those we’ve had the pleasure of supporting - you’ve made 2025 one to remember.

Stay safe, recharge, and enjoy the moments that matter most. We will, as we’re taking an extended break to visit new additions to the family over in the UK!

Wishing you a strong start to 2026!

What a year, and what a resilient community we have!

As 2025 draws to a close, I think we can all agree it was a big one! I’ve lost count of the number of people who’ve said “wow, where did the year go?!”.

I think we can also be really proud of the way business owners and leaders from across our region have gone the extra mile for customers, team members and our local community this year. I know these efforts take a toll, and I hope you get to enjoy a restful break over the holiday period.🎄

At The Resolution Network, we’ve loved every moment of supporting the business community and our members through our Enhance Program. A massive thank you to the businesses who were a part of the 2025 membership. Your enthusiasm, openness, and commitment to building healthier, more resilient workplaces is a credit to you.

It was lovely to attend morning tea at the newly renovated Palm Room, situated in the South Pacific Palms Motel in Tuncurry.

It can be a challenge to find venues locally that offer something a little different so it’s great to know the Palms Room with its light and relaxing decor is just around the corner.

👏Congrats to the team on the beautiful make-over so far, excited to see what magic you weave next!

It’s always a delight to spend time with the effervescent El Rattray, publisher of our region’s flagship magazine, Lifestyle Barrington Coast.

Under El’s leadership, this magazine has blossomed and we had a great session discussing “what’s next?”. I’m excited to say - lots of great things! Keep up the awesome work El! 👏

PS - If you've not had a chance to check out the new Convos Podcast (another one of El's great initiatives), do yourself a favour and head to 👇

We all know how difficult it can be to put in place boundaries so work doesn't take over. The aim of the "right to disconnect" (introduced initially in August 2024 and soon to be extended to all businesses in August 2025) is to create a clearer distinction between work and the rest of your life to improve work-life balance and reduce stress and burnout.

Since it was introduced last August, I've chatted with our clients about this new right and I think without exception, they've all said "we never expect our team members to do work after hours - we actually actively discourage it". Great work team!

If you're new to this legislation and are keen to understand what it involves, there are a series of videos prepared by Fair Work Australia to help you get ready for the changes.

If this new legislation does mean a change for your business and how you work with your team, please get in touch. Very happy to help you come up with a plan that supports you and your team.

Eligible employees have the right to refuse employer or third-party contact outside of working hours.

In the middle of winter it can be challenging to draw a crowd - but Forster Tuncurry Business Chamber did it again! Another great event with lots of laughs and the opportunity to meet business people from across our LGA.

The format of the “roast” was really fun and shout out to the panelists Hector from The Beach Geek, Helen from The Coastal Brewing Company, Forster, Australia, Matt of Caiban Electrical, Ed at Lakeside Festival, Vicki of Vicki Bidner Realty and Simon from Orbit Marketing for being a great MC (as always!).

The Coastal Brewing Company, was the perfect venue, plus great catering from Honey Graze Co.

Hope to see you this month! Check out the Forster Tuncurry Business Chamber page for event details.
