Another El Carnivoro Argentinian BBQ class success.

Not quite the traditional BBQ class, instead catering for a private dinner function, grilling a selection of delicious meats, chicken and chorizos.
And instead of the parrilla, this time a Weber Performer kettle and a Traegar Ironwood 885.

Finished off with homemade chimichurri.

No complaints, just happy clients and full bellies

Book a private BBQ class for up to 6 people and enjoy the day learning to grill and make an authentic Argentinian BBQ, using traditional techniques on a real 'parrilla' (grill) and recipes.

All classes are run on a Sunday, and follow a part observation and part interaction format.
And what we grill on the day is yours to enjoy.

Learn to make fire, use charcoal, the history of the Argentine BBQ, different cuts of meat used in this style of BBQ, make your own chimichurri sauce and more.

So while BBQ classes are on hold it doesn't mean my grilling is....

Here's my first attempt on the famous Tuscan dish bistecca alla Fiorentina (Florentine steak).

An 840gm T-bone cooked 5 minutes a side, then directly standing up on the bone and finally rendering that delicious fat.

Result? Pictures may not do justice but absolutely one of the best steaks I've had.
A rare to medium rare throughout. Perfectly grilled

Hi all, been a long while since the last post. Lots has happened since we welcomed the latest addition to our family.

But with autumn comes not only changes in the air, but also cooler weather, which means it's ideal weather for that perfect outdoor BBQ.

Why wait for summer to roll around, humidity, hot weather and the threat of a total fire ban, when you enrol in one of our classes, learn the art of the Argentine BBQ, enjoy the spoils of the class and meet new people....all in a class run undercover.

Hi all,

even though our household is busy looking after our number one little bundle of joy, (after all, he now rules the roost), I am happy to organise a BBQ class for those interested and can't wait.
With autumn upon us, now is the perfect weather to fire the grill up and enjoy the cooler days.

While no new class dates have been posted here or on our website, www.elcarnivorobbq.com.au, that does not mean that we cant organise a private class for you, your family or friends.

Minimum class numbers MUST BE 4 pers to a max of 6 pers in a group.

Frequent reminders from FB that BBQ lovers on this page have not heard from me, a neglected BBQ still undercover and unused, no scheduled new class dates.....

So what is going on at El Carnivoro Argentinian BBQ? Why has it been so quiet of late??

Well, we are proud to announce the arrival of the newest member of the El Carnivoro Argentinian BBQ team...and definitely the best looking one in the team.

Sebastian Luca, born on 09 Feb, 2019, came bursting into our lives, and as a result everything, including running BBQ classes, has been put on hold. And we love it.

As a result, new class dates will be posted once the dust settles and we manage to juggle few things.

For now, our attention is turned to our number one little guy......and who knows, in years to come, I may hang up my cook's jacket, put away my knives, walk away from the grill and a new and improved 'asador' (grillmaster) will take my place.

Ok, so it's hot and a tad humid. So do we put away the BBQ grill and admit defeat?

I mean, who wants to fire up the grill when it's over 30 deg, right?

Well, when summer is in full swing and you know the hazards of lighting a fire and using coals over a grill, not to mention feeling the direct heat when cooking low and slow, there are ways to still enjoy a traditional Argentinian BBQ. Ask us how.

In the meantime, we won't be cancelling classes either. While no new dates have been posted, you can always contact us and suggest an alternate date.
