Grading Plant Operator - Biloela - $50-$60k circa

Our client is Central Queensland's seed specialist supplying wholesale and retail cropping, forage and pasture seed. They also grade and pack grains and pulses for export, specialising in mungbean and chickpea for human consumption. They are 100% Australian owned, locally operated out of Biloela and pride themselves on their reputation for servicing their customers and growers. Enjoying steady year on year growth, they are seeking a Grading Plant Operator to assist with cleaning, grading, bagging and packing.
This fun, hardworking operation is looking for a committed, motivated Operator to join their busy team. Monday to Friday, 8am-5pm, a typical day will include daily planning and communication, machine operation and maintenance, grading and assessing seed (quality assurance), bagging seed, loading pallets and containers, receiving and outloading seed, cleaning out silos and shifting belts. Reporting to the Plant Manager this person will also have some responsibility for training and supervising a team of up to 4 additional casual Operators in busy periods.
The successful person will be a hardworker who is genuinely interested in learning about the seed and grain industry. They will be flexible and adaptable to changes in planned routines as well as available for occasional night shifts in busy periods. They will have demonstrated initiative, strong problem solving skills and an understanding of quality assurance. Strong communication skills and the ability to work independently are essential. A Medium Rigid Truck License and a Forklift License would be an advantage but not essential.

As step one of the growth strategy this role will take the staffing team to 3 people.
This varied role will stimulate, challenge and fulfil the right applicant with no opportunity to get bored! A typical day will involve both administrative and nursing responsibilities including supervising patient treatments, advising patients on aftercare, general patient care, support to the Practice Manager and Principal Doctor, reception duties, giving advice on appointments, dealing with enquiries, advising on and making appointments, taking payments, book-keeping, cleaning, general administration and opening and closing the Practice.
The successful applicant will have a flexible, practical can-do attitude and an ability to adapt as the position requires. It is someone who can grow with the business and have the potential to manage additional staff in the future. You will have experience with MS Office, MYOB, reception and administration as well as a minimum of enrolled nursing qualifications (those with lapsed nursing registrations may be considered). You will be professionally presented, a strong communicator, a compassionate carer, honest and self-motivated.
