Thank you to all my lovely clients, it has been an amazing journey growing with you.

The time has come to close off this chapter, but who knows it might re-open in the future again.

A doula is not for everyone, but if we keep on educating the general public what we really do, the families who do want our service, know to find us.

What archetype are you? A Child, who's is not sure what's right, so let's others decide for her? Or the Orphan, who doesn't need anyone else, can do it all by herself, but feels that's she has failed, if she can't? How you feel about yourself and how you react to intense situations, can be of a big influence to your birth experience.

Have been back from Bali, almost a month already! Time flies. Had a great time catching up with friends and assisting as needed at Yayasan Bumi Sehat. Your donations will be put to good use. So many other issues there. Malnutrition and all the risks associated with that.

In September I will be fortunate enough to volunteer my time as a doula at Bumi Sehat in Bali. Can't wait! But stay tuned, as I don't want to go there empty handed. Any ideas for a fundraising party?

Last week I almost made a choice based on fear.

But thanks to my great doula training at the Australian Doula College (ADC), I thought about it and consulted with everybody involved, with varying views.

And now I am making the opposite choice but out of love and knowing that's the right thing for me. And when I told people who had shared a different view, I could confidently explain my reasoning and choice. And they could even understand me!

These are the skills I would like to pass on to my clients. Making informed choices, with getting all points of view and then make a decision made from your heart.

Such wonderful skills to have obtained. Thank you ADC and all those wonderful people in this world, who make my life exciting, challenging and so worthwhile :)

Translating the Australian film: Face of Birth (www.faceofbirth.com) in Dutch for subtitles. Not as easy as it sounds.... Getting ready for the international premiere on 8 March 2013, as is international women day. Deadline in 2 days and only 1/3 of film have subtitles so far...
