Three hours a week. That's all I've got set aside for building my own mini-course.
Not a clear day. Not a quiet week. Three hours, same slot in the diary, and everything else moves around them.
For a long time I waited for a clear week instead. I told myself I'd start properly once the client work eased off. It never eased off! That's not a complaint, it's just what a busy service business does.
What changed wasn't my workload. It was giving up on the idea that I needed a big run at it.
Three hours a week is twelve hours a month. It's a bit over 150 hours a year. That's a whole thing built, slowly, while the business keeps running.
The trap isn't that you don't have the time. It's that you're holding out for a shape of time that isn't coming.
So what would you start if you stopped waiting for a clear week? Tell me below, I'd love to know.
