One of the real advantages of BNI? You get a front-row seat to the expertise sitting around the room.
This week at BNI Pegasus, our feature presentations came from Wayne Bramwell of Bramwell Partners and Angelica Alen of I Love Painting – two very different businesses, but both giving members a much deeper understanding of who they help and when to refer them.
Wayne shared the breadth of support available through Bramwell Partners, particularly for growing businesses that need HR expertise without necessarily building a large internal HR function. Their team supports businesses across recruitment and onboarding, workforce and succession planning, performance management, workplace investigations, HR documentation, culture, Fair Work matters and broader HR, safety and compliance.
Their sweet spot? Growing, family-owned businesses with around 10–200 employees, particularly across South East and Central Queensland.
Angelica then took us into a completely different world, showcasing the craftsmanship behind I Love Painting.
Alongside premium residential and commercial painting, the team specialises in decorative finishes including French Wash, Limewash, Mineral Paint and Stone Paint. These are techniques that can bring texture, depth and character to a space. Keep an eye out for their work featured in the new Hermes store in the CBD. Their broader work also includes commercial projects, body corporates, timber restoration and other specialty finishes.
A great referral for Angelica could be a homeowner wanting something beyond a standard painted finish, or a builder, property manager, body corporate or business looking for a reliable painting partner.
John Laurenson also led this week's member education, fittingly sharing tips on how members can make their own feature presentations more effective and memorable.
And another strong week of business across the room: 109 referrals passed and close to $108,000 in closed business generated for members.
Another great example of what happens when you combine expertise, education and a room full of people actively looking for opportunities for one another.
