Yesterday I was honoured to attend the official opening of the new commercial kitchen at Kingaroy RSL.

I was proud to help the team prepare a professional application to the Queensland Remembers Grant Program, which secured $200,000 and contributed to the $1M capital works project. This submission was recognised as one of the best received, and awarded the largest amont in the funding round.

We’re excited to share that there’s a lot of building work happening at the Wallumbilla Showgrounds, all thanks to the support of the Gambling Community Benefit Fund Queensland! 🏗️

Local Builder Ben Maller has now completed an extension to the Poultry Pavilion, creating even more space for showcasing our amazing local poultry. 🐔🎉 This is a fantastic addition that will help grow our show and offer a better experience for all our visitors!

A big thank you to the Gambling Community Benefit Fund Queensland for making this possible and supporting the growth of our showgrounds. 🏆 Thanks also to Plentify Grant Writing for helping get this project funded.

This project will make the Kalbar School of Arts Memorial Hall more accessible for everyone in the community. The end result looks fantastic!

This is a great project for that the Kalbar community that I’m proud to be involved with. I’m looking forward to seeing the end result!

Exciting news for our community hall. Thanks to a grant from FRRR (Foundation for Rural Regional Renewal) some much needed external repairs are underway. Soon we’ll have a new landing and stairs off the kitchen, a new ramp at the rear of the hall, and replacement of the timber structure and decking on the ramp on the Ann Street side. Within a few weeks this construction, as well as other external repairs, will be complete. 👍

Tourism Recovery Assistance Grant

This funding is to support tourism operators in Far North Queensland recover from the impacts of Tropical Cyclone Jasper.

The $1.6 million Tourism Recovery Assistance Grant provides financial assistance of up to $50,000 (ex GST) for eligible businesses in the defined disaster area.

Awarded to Moura Retirement Village from the Resources Community Infrastructure Fund!

I worked as part of a small team who secured this vital funding for MRV. The project will construct an additional six, two-bedroom units at the village and support retirement living in the region.

It was a complex project and we collaborated with external consultants and stakeholders to complete the support documents required.

My ‘office view’ this afternoon. I’m doing some work at Roma Street Parklands in Brisbane while I wait for a train to arrive. Everything looks so beautiful and green!
