Beanplaces

Cowork communities at local cafes. Digital Nomads, Remote Workers, Entrepreneurs. Where ya bean? Welcome to beanplaces.

We started this to help digital nomads, remote workers and entrepreneurs connect and work at local cafes across South East QLD (you can still join our group if you live outside of our region, just let us know where you are so we can grow your region). We ourselves are business owners, digital nomads and remote workers and after our coworking space closed down😢 , we decided to meet up at local cafes across our region to stay connected and work in a much more appealing atmosphere than our home office/lounge/bed😉

It's a great way to meet new people, network to grow your business, find new job opportunities and get work done, all while supporting your local cafes. We know cafes have had it very tough over the last couple years, so we want to support them by buying coffee, morning teas, lunches and filling tables during their quiet times. We would love to have you join our beanplaces community. To join in with coworking events join our Facebook Group https://www.facebook.com/groups/beanplaces

A fab cowork session yesterday at Laundry Espresso and a huge warm welcome to the new beanies!

Great conversation around new business ideas, traveling, business software, bookeeping, parenting, schooling, coworking spaces and a whole lot more. Plus some of us got work done 😉

Where did you work from this week?

The way we work has changed remarkably over the last 3 years which has impacted cowork spaces like WeWork.

People are now comfortable working from home and only want to go into an office a couple times a month for human interaction.

How has your working lifestyle changed and what would be your ideal scenario?

It’s not a “we” kind of workplace if we all want to stay home two days a week.

We had a lovely morning cowork session today with these beanies at The Other Bird, and we had David Masefield join in from Canada online.

Heading to Agtech and Logistics Hub Wellcamp tomorrow if anyone wants to join. Free fast internet, free tea and coffee, free phone/meeting rooms, kitchen so byo lunch.

What a great day coworking at the Agtech and Logistics Hub out at Welcamp.

Such a fantastic space. So many different zones. Coworking area, small offices, sound proof rooms, board room, client meeting rooms...and all free to use, if you ask nicely 😉

We are planning on heading out at least once a fortnight on Wednesday as that is their main cowork day. Let us know if you'd like to try it out with us and make sure you join the group to see the upcoming events. Join group here beanplaces

A great morning of coworking and catching up at The Other Bird
Where were you working from today?

We had lots of talk around AI and how we are using or not using it within our businesses, and some great tips and tricks. Figuring out the best way for document sharing online and of course, learning more about each other. Really loving these cowork sessions.

What changes have you seen in your region thanks to the Work From Home (WFH) trend?

As flexible work proves an enduring legacy of the pandemic, small businesses are struggling to adjust – and office owners may be next in line
