How to increase workplace efficiencies and reduce cost?

As businesses we all need to look at making sure we are operating effectively and finding ways to reduce unnecessary costs while at the same time improving our effectiveness as a business unit.

Our team has worked closely with customers to achieve better results by working with their team and improving the way they operate and use their products. We have developed a simple 3 step process that can achieve amazing results with no huge change to the business structure.

Step 1 - Right Product for Purpose
Here are 5 top way to determine if you need to audit your current chemical, cleaning, safety and catering products and whether there are better options available.

Does the product do the job it is meant to do effectively and efficiently?
Are there pain points or usage issues with the product that need addressing?
What is the cost per use for the product vs the value of the task it performs?
Is the product available when I need it?
Does the product meet our safety and environmental requirements?

Step 2 - Chemical Dispensing and Equipment
By integrating dilution machines and equipment into your business along with the correct training for staff can often see a direct cost reduction of 10-15% to your business chemical wastage costs. This costs saving is simply through using equipment which removes the wastage caused by manually pouring chemicals.

Step 3 - Staff Education and Procedures
By educating your team around how to use chemicals, operating procedures and systems you will find that you end up with and more educated and confident team, reduce wastage and improve effectiveness as they will both understand the products they are using and use them properly and effectively.

What makes Croft different?

The TRS Catering team as part of Croft Australia is proud to introduce you to our new Croft Community Initiative.

As a national team and family focused business we are committed to respecting and supporting all communities across Australia. We are inclusive and will continue to explore genuine ways we can engage and improve lives across all communities.

Our Croft Community Initiatives include providing products and funding to local community groups or our teams spending valuable time contributing to the regions they live in and making a real difference in people’s lives.

This is our opportunity to improve both the community we live in and enrich our own lives through helping others - care, impact, influence.

The Croft Community Initiative aims to achieve the following goals:
- Enhance the community we all live in by contributing product, funding and time to those in need.
- To improve our own mental well-being and team growth.
- Meet and exceed our annual ESG initiatives and goals.

We have already begun our journey through how we will engage our team and work with communities on these initiatives through our partnerships with St Vincents, Starlight Children's Foundation, Angels Community Group, Fraser Coast Mates, Base Services, Café Agape and The Kids Cancer Project.

These partnerships will continue and we will be actively encouraging all of our team to take the reigns and bring forward ideas around community groups who need our support.

Our Croft Community Initiatives aim to make our lives and the lives within our communities better. As a team we have decided that this is great way to make a difference – care, impact, influence.

As a third generation, values based, family business, it is important to us that we make a stand and address the problems facing society. Family always comes first and is part of the Croft fabric.

We know that the actions we take today as a business can have dramatic impact on our children’s future. We are big enough to make an impact, small enough to care and strong enough to influence change.

This is the start of our impactful mission and ESG initiatives. We welcome feedback and growth through the journey. We all must start somewhere with achievable goals that make a difference.”
