What an incredible milestone for Platinum Glass and Security! After two inspiring days at the 2026 National Security Screen Association Conference and Awards, we’re proud to be celebrating our team, our industry and the latest developments in security screens.

The afternoon session has just wrapped up and we have been lucky enough to win a 12 month subscription with Viewa, this will change the way we show clients how their new security doors and screens will look before purchasing, so we look forward to implementing this in the coming weeks.

Tonight is the awards ceremony, and Platinum Glass and Security is honoured to be nominated for Residential Installation of the Year.

To be recognised alongside some of the best in the industry is a fantastic achievement for our entire team. We’re proud of the work that earned this nomination and excited to see what tonight’s announcement brings—fingers crossed! 🤞🏆

We recently had one of our valued clients experience another attempted break-in, but we successfully kept the desperately determined individuals out.

This shop has been an ongoing battle, as it has been targeted many times over the years.

A huge thank you to our client for trusting us and investing the extra money required to install the security glass system we recommended. That investment paid off by successfully preventing these individuals from gaining entry, if you know these offenders please report to Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.

We never publicly disclose exactly what we do to protect our clients’ premises. Sometimes it’s a specialised glass system combined with Prowler Proof security screens, and sometimes it’s one or the other. I don’t believe in the saying, “They’ll get in if they really want to.” Our job is to make sure they don’t gain access—certainly not easily or quickly.

Early start Friday with a coupe of local businesses both victims of break and enters, both these premises are businesses we look after and have attended multiple times previously,
neither entry was a gained by the glass failing, in both instances the glass has maintained it’s integrity but frame has let go in both instances, little bit of brainstorming between Darren and myself today and we are ready for the next attempt.

Eight years ago today, I took a leap of faith and started Platinum Glass and Security.

Like many small business owners, I didn’t know exactly what the future would hold. What I did know was that I wanted to build a business based on quality workmanship, honest advice, and treating every customer the way I’d want to be treated.

Over the past eight years, there have been plenty of highs and lows. Long days, early mornings, stressful moments, and challenges I never expected, but also incredible opportunities, amazing customers, and the satisfaction of watching the business grow year after year.

I’m incredibly grateful to every customer who has trusted us with their home or business, every supplier and tradesperson who’s worked alongside us, my staff and to my family and friends who have supported me through the journey. You have all played a part in what Platinum Glass and Security has become.

Looking back, I’m proud of how far we’ve come. Looking ahead, I’m excited for what’s still to come.
