The new Goondir Primary Health Care Service and Community Centre in Oakey will expand local Indigenous health care capacity, providing more space for practitioners and community use.

Positive community impact sits at the heart of how we approach our work at StruXi. Being involved in a project that will strengthen access to health services in Oakey is a meaningful example of that value in action.

It’s one we’re particularly proud to be part of.

The numbers only tell part of our story. The better measure is the people who live in the homes, work in the businesses, learn in the classrooms and rely on the community spaces we've helped create.

That's the thing about buildings. Long after the drawings are finished and the job is done, people keep using them.

21 years in, that's the impact we're most interested in.

Apparently we need to clear some shelf space!

We recently took home five wins at the 2026 Building Design Queensland South West Regional Design Awards, across four projects that couldn't be further apart in scale or purpose.

Bingara Administration Hub picked up two, alongside wins for Master Builders Toowoomba, BBFS Industrial Development and Lochel Residence.

From a residential renovation under $750K to a commercial building over $5M, it's a result that says a lot about the kind of work we do.

A big congratulations to our team, clients, consultants and builders who played a part in bringing these projects to life.

Before you knock it down, take another look.

An existing building isn't a blank page. It comes with history, constraints, quirks and decisions already made. Adaptive reuse is about working out what's worth keeping, what needs to change and what could be possible with a different way of looking at it.

Adaptive reuse has become a real strength at StruXi. It asks us to question the obvious answer, understand what we're working with, look beyond the constraints and see potential that might otherwise be missed.

That's the kind of challenge we like.

Bree and Madi spent a day out of the office this week at Centenary Heights State High School, chatting with students about Building Design and Interior Design as well as where a career in the industry can take you.

The students were also put to work, using a floor plan and scaled furniture pieces to explore how spaces come together, how people move through them and the thinking behind a functional design.

A good idea is the easy part. Getting it built is where things get interesting.

At StruXi, our work spans Building Design, Interior Design, Design Management, Project Management and Masterplanning. Different services that can stand alone or come together depending on what the project needs.

And projects rarely follow a straight line. Requirements change, constraints come up and there are plenty of decisions to make along the way.

Our experience helps you see the way forward. And if there isn't an obvious one, we'll find it.

We design for all kinds of projects, and that's the way we like it.

From homes and fit-outs to industrial developments, health, education and community infrastructure, we've spent 21 years designing with different scales, challenges and people around the table.

Our key takeaway – good Building Design isn't about repeating the same answer. It's about understanding the problem, working out what matters and finding the best way forward.

The scale might change. The responsibility doesn't.
