Another instalment of my travelling pie reviews!
Crusty’s Bakery, Ulverstone, Tasmania

When in Tassie, you simply have to try the scallop pie.

Crusty’s has a whole cabinet of pies to choose from, but I couldn’t go past the scallop. At $8.50 you get a seriously sized pie with golden, crusty pastry and a generous, creamy filling absolutely loaded with scallops. No skimping here. It was delicious from the first bite to the last.

I washed it down with a French vanilla slice for $4.50. Good-sized, silky custard, flaky pastry, and a sensational finish to the meal.

Service was friendly and quick, and the range of treats on offer is well worth a look. I’d happily recommend this bakery to anyone passing through the north-west coast.

A word of warning: I may have to slow down on the pie reviews. My daughter reckons I’m growing a bit of a b**r belly. I’m blaming the pies and vanilla slices, of course. Hahaha!

Verdict: One of the best yet. 4.5 🌟

Another World Famous Pie Review from out on our country roads!

JJ’s Bakery, Campbelltown, Tasmania

Pulled up at JJ’s in Campbelltown and walked out with one of the best pies I’ve had. Great size for $7.50, and was absolutely packed with meat and gravy and flavour.

The pastry is cooked to perfection. You can hear the crunch in my clip. Inside was hot but you guessed it as smashable temperature.

Very tasty, and if you’re in town, make sure you stop in. The staff were really friendly and made you feel welcome.

**4.5 stars.** 🥧
