There’s something in the air at Kilburn Football & Cricket Club.

From the moment you walk through the gates, you can feel it. The history, the pride, the sense of belonging. But more than anything, it’s the people.

The connection between members, players, volunteers and families is unmistakable. People genuinely care about each other. They show up, lend a hand, celebrate the wins and support each other through the challenges. It’s what turns a sporting club into a community.

That spirit is perfectly reflected in Club Chairman Glenn Russell, our 2025 Clubs SA Volunteer of the Year. A lifelong Kilburn local, Glenn has dedicated countless hours to helping the club thrive, but as he’ll tell you, it’s never been about one person. It’s about bringing people together and creating a place where everyone feels welcome.

Read Glenn’s story and discover why Kilburn Football & Cricket Club continues to be one of South Australia’s great community clubs. https://clubssa.com.au/kilburn-cricket-football-club-glenn-russell-clubs-sa-volunteer-of-the-year-winner-2025/
