One of things we pride ourselves on is our support for other local businesses & organisations.
We have long been supporters of Sam & Aline & their business Outer Limits Adventure Fitness, most notably their trial runs & Paluma Push..
This weekend we supported Sam & Queensland National Parks in the clean up of the Under the Radar Trail at Pallarenda.
Sam provided his expertise & the volunteers.
We provided the brush cutters.
They provided the brawn.
The trails will re open next week.
In the meantime if you are after an adventure next weekend, Sam & Aline will have their trail run at Maggie Island.
Locals supporting locals. That’s a huge part of our business.

They say a picture is worth a thousand words.
With regards to the successful Water Lettuce removal project at Idalia Lakes, we think these 3 pictures speak volumes.
Some interesting statistics from the project:
1) approx 835 cubic metres of water lettuce harvested — roughly the volume of a house
2) 300–335 wet tonnes of plant material removed from the water system - this equivalent to 56 African elephants
3) 98–99% removal achieved — well above the 95% project target.
In the coming weeks, as the ecosystems in & around the lakes adjust & regenrate, the community may notice some funky smells on the shoreline & the water surface may look patchy with a variety of floating materials (all natural) & a small algal bloom in the Northern Pond. These are all very positive signs of nature repairing & returning to normal. They will settle in a couple of weeks.
Already we’ve seen an increase in bird life, native fauna & insects returning to the area.
Thank you to our team whom worked with great professionalism on this project, to the community in Idalia for their positive support & feedback, & finally to Townsville City Council for their engagement of Ausfield Services.

We are often asked if we work outside of Townsville/Cairns/Port Douglas.
We most certainly do!
We have the capacity & flexibility to work all around Queensland.
In the coming weeks we will have a crew of highly skilled staff, undertake a revegetation & regeneration project at a solar farm in Bundaberg.
Everyone (& everything) is packed & hitting the road, for what is a very challenging, but exciting project for us.
Safe travels guys - we can’t wait to hear the tales & see your photos.
