We had a few sore heads after last night’s game, but this morning’s meeting was still a cracker. Linda Welsh from Outdoor Man Australia really stepped up today while David Craven-Griffiths is swanning through Europe. Linda ran our education section by teaching us all the importance of reviews and how to handle negative reviews and to create positive reviews. Linda was also our feature presenter. I never knew there so many ways you can use a torch and how many different types there are!! This week’s meeting hit us right in the feels with our feature presentation by Tash from Family Emergency Accommodation Townsville. Learning about the incredible work FEAT does to support people from all walks of life when their living situation becomes unbearable, and how we can start to support them was inspirational. Looking forward to some exciting updates from Tash in the future!! David stepped up and wore multiple hats in Mitch’s absence, as well as giving us a great refresher on the core values of BNi and how we can implement these in our daily lives and businesses. Full house at this morning’s meeting which was really exciting to see! Thanks to Catherine from Bright Property Townsville for filling the seats with visitors this week. We also had a visit from Bernie with some inspiring words to keep us positive and on track. David gave us a boost of positivity and reminded us that the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting a different outcome. We need to be open to opportunities and they will come. Tash from Family Emergency Accommodation Townsville past on the Bernie award to David for showing us how important it is to give back. Another awesome meeting at BNi Magnetic this morning. Lots of laughs, but as always, a clear focus on learning and building relationships with other businesses. David showed us through time management, and learning to be comfortable in the chaos. Tash took out the Bernie in her second week!! Congratulations Tash. Can’t wait to learn more about your work with Family Emergency Accommodation Townsville (FEAT). We then had Linda do her feature presentation on her business “Outdoor Man”, opening our eyes to the world of Horse and Bow Archery and the pig pest problem we have in Townsville and surrounding areas. She also showed us all the incredible outdoor products they sell ranging from knives, torches and drones right through to dog treats and engraving. First meeting of the new term was a great one this morning. Lead by our new President, Mitch, we started off with David educating us all on how to “Aim Big” with our goals and reach for the stars. We then had last week’s Bernie winner and recently returned member, Linda pass the trophy onto Mitch this week for being open and available with his clients. Welcome back Linda! Mitch then took us through his Presidential Speech where he showed us what his focus will be for the next 6 months for the chapter and where he wants to lead the chapter to by 30 September. Very inspiring and exciting times ahead for Magnetic! We inducted a new member, Tash, the General Manager of FEAT (Family Emergency Accommodation Townsville). Welcome Tash, we are so happy to have you become a member of Magnetic. Great meeting yesterday! David did an interesting education session on how you’re never too old to learn, and the definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over expecting a different outcome. Sometimes a good reminder for those times when we get stuck on a problem in business, to reassess and think outside the box. David then did the feature presentation and showed us all how lucky we are to have access to such a knowledgeable and experienced business coach to hold us accountable when we need it. Mitch from Morgan’s Financial took out the Bernie award thanks to Debbie from Reef Spark Electrical. Another great meeting this morning with Bev from Flavourista taking out the Bernie award for showcasing her outstanding customer service. Debbie from Reef Spark Electrical did an amazing job educating all on how to be pro networkers. Debbie didn’t get to rest as it was her turn to do the feature presentation and show us her journey and teach us about what her perfect referral is so we know what to look out for.
