Another Mappamundi private event, another 37 trees planted! Big thank you to everyone who made it to our event down at Jezzine Barracks yesterday to run around with maps, solve riddles and rescue koalas. We hope you enjoyed it as much as we enjoyed organising it!

And the Autumn Urban Adventure is done! Team Bart smashed the competition by bringing in one bonus koala to get up to 420 points, with The Matriarchs taking out top family team on 140 points.

Hello Map Fans! Are you looking for something to do when the rain clears up? If so, we have a new map for the adventurous. The Big Bike-O Map is 15-18km of orienteering up and down Ross River (Distance dependent on how well you navigate). Buckle on your helmet and try it out on two wheels, or set yourself up for a nice long distance run.

And the Wild Wombat Hunt is closed! Thank you to all 11 teams who took part and helped us plant more trees, and special thanks to the two teams who entered who actually provided their times and answers! Gold medal goes to the Pace Pigs who navigated family members around the course in 1:04:06, with Arnold All Sports taking out the silver with a leisurely dog-assisted 1:40:53.

We've got many more events planned for May and the rest of the year going forward, so make sure you watch this space!

The Wild Wombat Hunt course is officially open! Come down to Aplins Weir and go hunting for 12 out of our 15 wombat checkpoints. The course will remain up right throughout April. If you want to compete in our leaderboard, send us your team name, results and time and at the end of the month we'll find out how everyone went on the event.

Some of our checkpoints are well hidden, so be sure to have a good look once you're at the checkpoint.

Maps can be purchased at https://mappamundi.com.au/shop/ols/products/aplins-weir-wild-wombat-hunt . For every map purchased, a tree gets planted in a bushfire affected area in Australia.

Hello friends of Mappamundi! We've been on something of an unofficial hiatus the last several weeks. Between the TTOC Urban Adventure Summer Series and our soaring heat wave temperatures, we've been hunkered down at Mappamundi HQ. Now that things are less busy, we have plans to kick off with a new event in April, based around the gorgeous Aplins Weir section of Ross River. Watch this space!

Hello friends of Mappamundi! We've been on an unofficial hiatus the last several weeks between the Urban Adventure Summer Series with TTOC and our heat wave in Townsville. April will see us kicking off again with an exciting new event based around the Aplins Weir area of Ross River. Watch this space!
