Yesterday in Federal Parliament, Phillip Thompson OAM MP - Serving Our Community took a moment to recognise QSG and our milestone 20-year celebration a testament to two decades of hard work, resilience, and commitment to our community.

His acknowledgement highlighted what we’re most proud of: we are local, we support local, and we employ locals. From our beginnings in Townsville to where we stand today, our foundation has always been built on strengthening local capability and creating real opportunities for North Queenslanders.

We’re honoured by this recognition from Mr Thompson and are grateful for the continued support of our community, clients, and partners. We look forward to the next 20 years of delivering quality, growing regional jobs, and backing the place we call home.

On the weekend we lit up Queensland Country Bank Stadium red to mark 20 years in business.

Founded in Townsville in 2005 by our Managing Director, Andrew Gisinger, QSG are proud to have grown from a small consultancy firm in Townsville into a respected national firm. With Andrew at the helm, the company has become a trusted leader in safety, quality and environmental consulting and auditing, supporting organisations to achieve operational excellence and compliance.

The evening brought together our team members, clients, stakeholders, and partners from across the country to celebrate two decades of growth, expertise, and trusted partnerships.

Joining QSG in April 2021, Shannon specialises in working with clients in strengthening their HSEQ management systems, with a key focus on achieving and maintaining compliance to ISO, NHVR and FSC accreditations. With qualifications including a Bachelor of Accident Forensics, Bachelor of Occupational Health and Safety, Diploma of Quality Auditing, and Exemplar Global ISO 45001 Lead Auditor, Shannon brings deep technical expertise and a passion for continual improvement to every project.

What Shannon enjoys most about her role is the diversity of QSG’s client base and the opportunity to work closely with businesses as they enhance their management systems, achieve accreditation, and reach their goals. She takes great pride in celebrating clients’ successes and seeing their hard work pay off through measurable growth and improvement.

With formal qualifications in Accident Forensics, Shannon is particularly proud of her work helping organisations uncover root causes of incidents and develop practical, tailored solutions to mitigate risk. Knowing that this work contributes to safer, more resilient workplaces is one of the most rewarding parts of her career.

Beyond her professional achievements, Shannon is dedicated to giving back to her community. In 2020, she participated in the World’s Greatest Shave, raising funds for the Leukaemia Foundation, and since 2023, she has made over 30 plasma donations to the Australian Red Cross Lifeblood, supporting life-saving medical treatments.

• Participating in the Townsville Summit 2025, engaging in discussions on regional investment, major projects, and sustainable economic growth.
• Celebrating 20 years of our client STP Consultants at their Brisbane and Townsville 20-Year Anniversary events, recognising two decades of success and collaboration.
• Attending the Premise Annual Client Function, connecting with industry peers and clients.
• Working directly with clients on-site, delivering consulting and auditing services that strengthen systems and drive measurable improvement outcomes.
