🔧 WE’RE HIRING – FULL TIME DIESEL MECHANIC 🔧
Gippsland Logging & Earthmoving is looking for a Qualified Diesel Mechanic to join our well established team.
Based in Gippsland and working across a fleet of log trucks, heavy machinery, and support vehicles, this is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in keeping machines running at their best.

🔹 About the Role:
✅ Perform servicing, repairs, and diagnostics on trucks, trailers, and heavy equipment
✅ Respond to breakdowns in the field when required
✅ Conduct preventative maintenance and safety inspections
✅ Maintain accurate service records and reports
✅ Work in both workshop and on-site environments

🔹 What We’re Looking For:
✔ Trade qualified Diesel Mechanic (Cert III Heavy Commercial Vehicle Mechanical or equivalent)
✔ Experience with Kenworth, Mack, and machinery preferred
✔ Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills
✔ Ability to work independently and as part of a team
✔ HR or HC licence desirable but not essential
✔ Commitment to safety and getting the job done right

GLE are looking for casual employees to join us for the 2023/24 Fire Season.
Climate experts have predicted a scorching fire season this year and given the fact our winter has been drier than expected and the recent fire events it looks as though that prediction will come to fruition.
GLE are looking for experienced Machine Operators who are able to operate; dozers, excavators, floats, graders and skidders within Victorian Forestry environments. Operators will hold current licence's for machines, trucks and a current Victorian Driver’s Licence.
We are also looking for Offsiders/Spotters to work with the Machine Operators. Experience is not required as basic training will be offered; however, a spotter’s licences or equivalent will be advantageous and a current Victorian Drivers Licence is mandatory.
The only other requirements for both Operators and Offsiders are a current DELWP Basic Wildfire Awareness Training (BWA) and a DELWP medical sign off from your GP.

Gippsland Logging and Earthmoving are looking for 2 full-time Log Truck Drivers to join our team. Both positions are based in Gippsland and are available for an immediate start.

Key Responsibilities:
• Complete safety and compliance checks daily, report issues promptly
• Operate a single or bdouble truck safely and in accordance with local, state and federal legislation within forestry roads
• Maintain accurate records in accordance with the business needs
• Provide excellent service to GLE clients
Requirements:
• A current Victorian Drivers Licence, HC/MC preferred
• A minimum 2 years truck driving experience – working within a forestry environment would be an advantage
• A commitment to safety at all times
• Basic Fatigue Management accreditation advantageous
