Qualifications & experience
CPA or CA (an equivalent combination of related education, training, and experience may be considered)
3-6 years’ staff management, including strong development focused leadership
Experience in one or more of the following areas (or combination thereof): Retail, Commercial and Government sectors
Working knowledge of Procurement and Compliance Systems & Processes
Experience with Xero accounting package or similar
Ability to provide robust financial reporting and analysis
Experience with simPro project management software would be highly advantageous but not essential
Tasks & responsibilities
Preparation of month end reporting and analysis
Preparation of budgets and forecasting
Preparation of year end reconciliations and liaising with external accountants
Management of procurement, including identifying cost-reduction opportunities & liaising with suppliers
Oversight of the payroll, accounts payable & receivable functions
Management and review of statutory obligations – payroll tax, GST, super, workcover, FBT etc.
Management of the treasury function and banking facilities
Management of accounting software
Management of existing Finance Team members
Implementation of appropriate internal controls, processes and procedures as required initiatives
