Spring is a reminder that brighter days do come but sometimes, a person may need a little support to reach them.

This R U OK?Day, take a moment to check in with the people around you. Ask the question, listen without judgement and make time for a genuine conversation.

You don’t need to have all the answers. Sometimes simply asking, “Are you OK?” can make more difference than you realise.

🌼 Ask R U OK? Any day.

Wednesday Learning Lesson.

About 12 Months ago, when we were really trying to grow our residential electrical offering locally in the snowy valleys we had a fantastic learning experience.

If you walk into a house that has been riddled with DIY electrical work (extension leads punched through ceilings etc;). Just walk right on back out.

Who would have thought that 12 months later these wonderful customers still haven't paid. at a time when we were trying to grow a service offering, they very promptly threatened to leave a terrible review and take to social media if we chased payment. unfortunately, DIY work and non-Payers are far too prevalent in the Residential area, hence us no longer offering those services.

I'm amazed often the people we have to say "you can't do that" too

What do you think, now that it doesn't matter so much, should we name and shame? 😉 it's a pretty minor sum in the scheme of things. but you have to consider, wages, insurance and other expenses are paid on the time it takes to do this work.

Anyway, hump day legends!

We have an opportunity for someone in our existing network.

as we continue to grow, we are looking for an additional admin team member to provide assistance across both commercial and HR functions of the company.

The position would commence on a part-time basis and transition to full time casual. this transition depends on both perfomance and future pipe line of work.

We are eager to get someone in early in preparation for our next growth phase.

if you are interested please send your CV through to the following

Introducing Hawkins Resources.

Hawkins Industrial Contracting is becoming Hawkins Resources, a name that better represents where we operate today and where we are heading.

The HR identity has a deliberate double meaning.

It represents Human Resources. The capable people we provide to mining and mineral-processing operations.

But it also represents something broader. A business building its future within the resources sector itself.

Our focus extends across maintenance, field work and operations. From supporting work in the field through to keeping established sites operating, Hawkins Resources brings together practical capability, technical understanding and people who know how to work in demanding environments.

This change gives us room to grow beyond the traditional labour-hire model and participate more broadly across the resource lifecycle, from the earliest stages of a project through to production.

We are not announcing every part of that journey today. What we can say is that Hawkins Resources reflects a larger direction and a long-term commitment to the Australian resources industry.

The name is new. The Hawkins ownership, hands-on approach, on-site visibility and commitment to our people and clients remain unchanged.

Hawkins Resources — people, capability and opportunity across the resource lifecycle.
