Tweed Heads Return and Earn will be closed Good Friday, Easter Saturday, Easter Sunday and Easter Monday.

We will be open as usual on Tuesday, 7 April 2026 for you to return all your holiday cans and bottles.

Lynette and Brian popped into our Drive-in Return and Earn depot in Tweed Heads just for a change, as they usually use our Cardiff depot.

They live in Newcastle but loved holidaying in Coolangatta.
They are regular customers of our site in Cardiff and were excited to find we had a depot in the Tweed.

We actually have ten Vinnies Drive-in Return and Earn depots around the state, so if anyone needs an excuse for a road trip.....

This is David and his mate.

He has rallied his neighbours in their residential complex to collect containers so they can buy a Defibrillator and make it publicly accessible.

A great cause and we're delighted to be processing all bottles and cans for them.

Since starting to use our drive-in Return & Earn depot in Tweed Heads, Tanya has collected over $400. This has been spent on her beloved camper Reggie, who needed a bit of TLC including a new air compressor. It's great that she can now continue her touring in comfort

She was also kind enough to say that she really enjoys coming here as guys are so nice and helpful.

Thanks Tanya, we appreciate you using our depot, as every time you earn cash from your containers so do Vinnies, as we are paid a processing fee by the scheme which helps support our work in the community.

Back in Aug 2021, one of our first customers was Sharon who is a partner in a local transport company.

They took one of our bins for the staff to fill with their drinks containers and the money collected go towards their Christmas party.

Sharon has passed this task to her daughter Ellen, who we look forward to becoming a regular at our drive-in Vinnies depot.

No matter what you use the cash for, our drive-in automated depot is so quick and easy to use. Our friendly staff are always on hand, just drive in, unload and we'll process everything for you. The cash is in your bank in minutes by EFTPOS, so don't forget your bank card.

Cooper and his Carer Cherie Chugg have been coming to our Return and Earn depot for a few years now. They have always said how convenient and easy it is and over the years have made great connections with our staff. "They are friendly and always up for a laugh and chat. That’s why we keeps coming back.".

Recently it has opened up into an opportunity for Cooper to become a volunteer and get work experience. His Mum says she is thrilled how the guys have welcomed him and not only does he enjoy his days here , he is learning a lot of awesome skills.

Our Return and Earn depot is here to help the community and make it easier for them to claim back container deposits. Come on down and meet our staff and see just how easy it is to use.

For several years the residents of the Cabarita Beach area have been donating their recyclable containers to The Pencil Tree local charity. They then bring them to our Ourimbah Street depot, where we process them and pay the deposits directly to the charity’s bank.

100% of donations go to assist underprivileged children in northern India, via one of Pencil Tree educational programmes.

A real win/win/win scenario.

We are always very happy to help any charity or organisations to use our depot for fundraising.
