Solo Support is tailored to each member’s goals, helping build practical life skills, confidence and greater independence through personalised one-on-one support.
Cooperative Support creates opportunities to develop independence alongside others building social skills, teamwork, decision making and confidence through shared activities and community experiences.

🌱 From Paddock to Plate at Team Lemonade! 🥕🍅
At Team Lemonade, our garden is more than just a place to grow vegetables and herbs it’s where independence, confidence and life skills grow too! 🌿💚
Our members get hands on experience planting and caring for our garden, learning how to budget and navigate the grocery store, and then bringing it all together in the kitchen to create a delicious meal using produce we’ve grown ourselves alongside our grocery shop finds. 🛒👩‍🍳

We call it Paddock to Plate learning practical skills from the garden, to the shops, to the kitchen and finally to the table. 🍽️
Every Tuesday, our TLC’s (Over 40s) cook lunch, while Thursdays are all about cooking with our Maverick Group. From budgeting and grocery shopping to using kitchen appliances, following recipes and preparing meals, every step is an opportunity to build confidence and greater independence. 🙌
Because independence isn’t just about doing things alone it’s about having the skills, confidence and support to do more for yourself. 💚

✈️🍋 Pacific Airshow adventures with Team Lemonade! 🍋✈️
What an incredible day at the Pacific Airshow in Surfers Paradise! Our members enjoyed an action-packed day watching jets soar through the sky, skydivers, incredible aerial displays and so much more! 🪂✈️
But the adventure started before we even arrived! 🚋 Our members also worked on their public transport skills, using the tram to travel to Surfers Paradise and building confidence in navigating the community more independently. 💪
From catching the tram to experiencing the excitement of the Airshow, it was a day all about independence, confidence, connection and creating unforgettable memories. 💛

What an incredible day at the Ekka! Our members had the opportunity to experience the excitement of the Ekka while being supported to make their own choices, explore, connect and enjoy the day with greater independence. ✨
It’s so rewarding to see our members experience independent support with our amazing support workers there to provide guidance, encouragement and a helping hand when needed. 🙌
Creating opportunities where our members can step outside their comfort zones, build confidence and simply enjoy being part of the community is what Team Lemonade is all about! 🍋💛

🍋 Part 2 | Learning Through Lived Experience
At Team Lemonade, we believe the best learning happens through genuine connection.
As Bond University Occupational Therapy Master's students spend time alongside our members, they're not just observing they're listening, participating, and discovering what meaningful, person-centred support truly looks like.
Every conversation, shared activity, and experience helps future occupational therapists understand that each person has their own strengths, goals, and story. These moments build confidence, empathy, and the practical skills needed to support people in ways that are respectful, empowering, and individualised.
We're incredibly proud to work alongside Bond University to create learning experiences that benefit both students and our community. Together, we're helping shape compassionate professionals who will make a lasting difference in the lives of the people they support. 💙🍋

🍋 Something special is growing through the partnership between Team Lemonade and Bond University.
Our CEO, Elaine Johnson, recently sat down with Professor Tawanda to discuss how this collaboration is creating meaningful learning opportunities for Bond University's Occupational Therapy Master's students.
By engaging with Team Lemonade and our members, students are gaining insights that simply can't be learned from a textbook. They're developing a deeper understanding of the importance of listening, building relationships, and recognising the unique experiences and goals of every individual they will support throughout their careers.
This partnership is about bringing lived experience into education, helping shape the next generation of occupational therapists to deliver truly person-centred practice.
We're excited to share this conversation with you and showcase what can be achieved when education and community come together with a shared purpose.
