Are you in a leadership position within your early childhood setting? Are you looking at ways to motivate yourself and the team? Come along to the Webinar Leading with a Growth Mindset: Collaborative Leadership (Carol Dweck inspired). We will delve into the positive psychology of success and how we can learn to fulfil our potential and inspire the team. We will reflect on a fixed mindset versus a growth mindset. We will consider how to create an organisation that grows and flourishes using organisational mindsets. We will look at Growth Mindset Leaders in Action. Finally, we will address what makes a quality Teacher or Educator and how we can change mindsets for positive outcomes.

Title of Presentation: Promoting Learning Environments as the Third Teacher

Presentation Outline: Promoting Learning Environments as the Third Teacher is critical for children’s development, learning and wellbeing. Loris Malaguzzi and The Reggio Emilia Approach to Education emphasis the significance of the Environment as the Third Teacher. The Webinar will take you on a journey when creating and maintaining supportive, safe and stimulating learning environments for children. We willconsider how to support children’s engagement and participation in provocations to enhance their development, learning and wellbeing.

Presenter/s Biography: Joanna Merton has 30 years experience in the early childhood sector and 20 yearsexperience in training, assessment and professional development. Jo currently works as a University Advisor and Teaching Associate for Southern Cross University. Jo operates her own small business – Inspire Me Professional Development Company. Jo has obtained a Master of Education, Bachelor of Education (ECEC),Certificate IV in Training and Assessment, Associate Diploma of Social Science (Child Studies), Certificate IV inTESOL and a Diploma of Positive Psychology and Wellbeing. Jo is passionate about sharing her knowledge ofbehaviour guidance, children’s wellbeing (positive psychology), and fostering children’s language and literacy skills.
