As the year winds down, this feels like a good moment to pause and reflect — not on what you built, but how you worked.
In my work, I talk about something called The Builder Ladder.
It’s not about skill, project size, or the type of homes you build.
It’s about behaviours. Awareness. And the way we show up — for our clients, our teams, and ourselves.
Most builders don’t sit neatly in one place on the ladder. We move. We grow. We evolve.
And that’s the point.
This isn’t about judgement or labels — it’s simply an invitation to notice the behaviours behind the work, and consider what might shift in the year ahead.
Because when builders strengthen the relational side of what they do — trust, communication, clarity, care — everything gets better.
Here’s to learning, reflecting, and doing it better in 2026.
