10 years of Glenn + Gav
Ten years ago, two very good men walked through the gates at Cupitt’s - and we’re very glad they did.
Glenn’s arrival came via an urgent call from his wife Thasia, who was working here at the time making woodfired pizzas with Rosie (she now works in Accounts). The customers just kept coming through the gates and they needed help - FAST.
Glenn answered the call, and he hasn’t really stopped answering everyone’s calls for help since.
Today, he manages our Grounds and Maintenance team and is still the person who gets pulled in every direction when something needs doing (which, around here, is often).
Gav’s Cupitt’s story started with a conversation with Tom, who was looking to fill an upcoming vacancy in the grounds team. Gav figured he had a few days spare amongst his other commitments and started that week.
A decade later, he works full-time looking after our vineyard and kitchen garden, lends a hand to the winery team during vintage and generally turns his hand to whatever needs doing.
Two true jacks of all trades - and two of the very best people you could hope to work alongside.
We’re incredibly lucky to see their sunny faces around the Estate every day, and there’s a reason they’ve both been immortalised on our wine labels.
Glenn and Gav, thank you for answering our calls for help 10 years ago - and pretty much every day since.
Happy 10 years. We wouldn’t be the same without you. ❤️
