This week our Director Najib Lawand delivered the Middle East Readiness Workshop for Food Innovation Australia Limited (FIAL) and in collaboration with Brisbane Marketing. He shared deep insights and experiences with some of Queensland's most innovative food, beverage and personal care companies. Next stop Melbourne (City of Greater Dandenong collaboration), then Sydney (NSW Treasury collaboration).

Last week we bid farewell to our talented project intern, Katherine Lin! Katherine is a final year Bachelor of Business student at UTS: University of Technology Sydney majoring in Advertising & Marketing Communications and International Business. Katherine worked on market analysis for clients including Bubs, Amazonia and Morlife, covering markets including Indonesia, Singapore and Malaysia.

What a few weeks it's been! Touring regional NSW and Queensland with the Buying Director from Planet OrganicUK, attending and presenting at Global Table Australia and Fine Food Australia. We've collaborated with Food Agribusiness Network FAN, Sunshine Coast Council, Nsw Trade & Investment Dept, Global Table, Food Innovation Australia Limited and Fine Food Australia to deliver 6 export-related sessions covering export 101, advanced export concepts, international health food trends and market-specific insights. Stay tuned for tips and hints shared at these sessions by highly experienced and very generous professionals including Nicholas Simms, Kim Brown (金布朗), Laurence Fazzari, David Malone, Cristina Talacko, Howard Hurwitz, and Al Overton.

We thoroughly enjoyed facilitating a Q&A with Al Overton, Buying Director at Planet Organic UK in the Sunshine Coast. Over 50 Food Agribusiness Network (FAN) members listened to the latest trends in organic, health and wellness products and retail in the UK. Great working with Sunshine Coast Council and Food Agribusiness Network FAN to bring market insights and export opportunities to the region.

We connected with 3 great Australian food suppliers at the Naturally Good Expo and asked them why export is important to their business.

Answers included the desire to have a global footprint, growth strategies beyond Australia and taking advantage of trending opportunities in international markets.
