I always knew I wanted to be a young mum. It probably helps that it wasnโt unusual in our family (my Nana, my aunty, my mum, my sister and I all had our eldest at 19).
Were we completely set up and ready for a baby at 19? Probably not ๐
We were living in a granny flat at my in-lawsโ house and figuring life out as we went.
In a lot of ways, I actually feel like I didnโt really know who I was until I became a mum.
And then, somewhere along the way, the opposite happened.
I got to a point where I didnโt really know who I was outside of being a mum and a wife.
My family was my world and I loved that.
But I had spent so much of my life caring for everyone else, working, doing what needed to be done and moving on to the next thing that I hadnโt really stopped to ask myself:
I remember going to womenโs circles and retreats and being asked questions like, โ๐โ๐๐ก ๐๐ ๐ฆ๐๐ข ๐๐ ๐๐๐ ๐๐ข๐?โ
And I genuinely couldnโt answer.
Not because I wasnโt happy.
I just didnโt know.
That question was probably much bigger for me than it seemed at the time.
Because slowly, through doing my own inner work, trying different things, meeting different people and giving myself permission to explore, I started rediscovering parts of myself.
Some things I loved.
Some things werenโt for me.
Some opened doors I didnโt even know existed.
And I think thatโs a huge part of why I ๐๐๐๐ ๐ ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ก๐๐ ๐ก๐ ๐กโ๐ ๐ค๐๐๐ ๐ผโ๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ก๐๐๐ now.
Because you donโt have to be a mum to lose yourself in the busyness of life.
It can happen through work, business, relationships, caring for others, responsibility, stress or simply years of putting everything and everyone else first.
Sometimes we need space to stop and ask:
Where am I right now?
What feels out of balance?
What do I need more of?
What have I forgotten that I love?
What - or who - lights me up?
And what else might be out there that I havenโt experienced yet?
Thatโs what I want ๐๐ฆ๐ฉ๐จ๐ฐ๐๐ซ๐ข๐ง๐ ๐๐๐ญ๐ก๐ฐ๐๐ฒ๐ฌ to create space for.
Not to tell people who they should become, but to help them reconnect with who they already are.
To introduce them to practices and experiences they may not have explored before - grounding, gentle movement, creativity and expression, breathwork, Reiki, numerology, hypnotherapy, meditation and so many of the incredible people and modalities that have crossed my own path.
Itโs why Iโve created the ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ท๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ as a place to begin - a chance to pause, check in with where life feels out of alignment and create a pathway forward with more balance, calm and clarity.
And itโs why community is such an important part of everything Iโm building.
Because so much of my own growth has happened through the people Iโve met along the way.
People who have supported me, challenged me, introduced me to something new, asked me a question I needed to hear or simply created a space where I felt like I belonged.
And there is so much more coming.
In 2027, ๐ป๐๐ ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ณ๐๐๐๐๐ begins - a 6-month experience of connection, exploration and growth - along with ๐ป๐๐ ๐น๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐ ๐ฌ๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐.
Iโve actually mapped out the next 3 and a half years of where Iโd love Empowering Pathways to go.
And as excited as I am about everything ahead, I don't want to rush any of it.
If the last 22 years have taught me anything, itโs how quickly life moves.
Today I have a 22-year-old son when sometimes it feels like I was 19 only yesterday.
Every version of me along the way has played a part in bringing me here.
The 19-year-old living in a granny flat with a new baby.
The mum whose whole world revolved around her family.
The woman who couldn't answer what she did for fun.
The woman who started exploring, learning and reconnecting with herself.
And the woman I am now, creating something that feels like the culmination of so many of those experiences.
I don't have everything figured out.
And perhaps Empowering Pathways isn't really about becoming someone new at all.
Maybe it's about creating enough space to find your way back to yourself and discovering what else is possible from there ๐ค
