The Scenic Rim is packed full of amazing things to do these school holidays!
I will be spending some quality time with my family visiting local places and events.

It's a DRY SHAMPOO kinda day ☀
This DIY dry shampoo recipe is natural and super easy.....
▪️1/4 cup Organic corn or arrowroot starch
▪️Organic cacao powder
▪️2-4 drops essential oils (optional)

Combine starch and approx 2 Tbsp cacao powder and combine. You may need to gradually add more cacao powder for darker hair. You can also add charcoal powder for black hair or cinnamon for red.

Once desired colour has been achieved you can mix through a couple of drops of your choice of essential oil.

Transfer into an old salt shaker and presto you have safe, natural dry shampoo!!

To use: Sprinkle onto roots of hair and massage in, give a few minutes to absorb oil and the brush through.

ENJOY!!

DIY MOLD CLEANING & PREVENTION
With all the water up north people are struggling with mold so I thought I would share my DIY mold cleaning and preventative tips.
Feel free to read all tips etc on MYrecipe DIY card in picture below!! ............ My suggestion for an easy, affordable product is in tip #4........... WHAT YOU NEED:-
▪️ BORAX. You can get borax from Coles & Woolworths.
▪️Boiled water
METHOD:-
1️⃣Dissolve 1/4 cup into 1litre of hot water (you can decrease volume to what you need) and let cool
2️⃣You can add some essential oils if you would like but it's totally optional. There is a list in pic of some awesome suggestions for mold if you have them on hand
3️⃣Pop into spray bottle
4️⃣Apply to mold and let sit for 5 minutes, then wipe, scrub away
5️⃣NO need to rinse as the mixture should prevent mold from returning ........... The great thing about this DIY recipe is that it makes so much with little product and cost. When you get your hands on some borax be sure to share it around after you have made a batch so everyone can keep safe!!........... I hope this helps people suffering in the floods.
